Personally, I think the Detroit course is the best confidence builder or test round.

My first win was on the Tahitian Escape on Korn Ferry. I sucked all through my first season until Detroit Golf Club. So that is definitely a confidence builder. Oddly enough, I think TPC Southwind is another course to play for confidence.
