I fully believe the cause of most of the false lines and ghost breaks are due to stretching brushes when designing and smoothing your greens. I’ve made enough mini golf courses to see this is really amplified as you get sharper micro breaks with them. Stick to the standard fuzzy brushes when contouring all greens for tour courses.

The only time I use non-fuzzy brushes are when I need to flatten tee boxes and, in my current course, flatten the gallery boxes.
