I like cart paths, but they are a b%& to make look good.

I tend to use them because they can fill in some space and be used for framing. But I don't care if other peoples courses have them.

A previous thread here about cart paths convinced me not to bother with them again. But sometimes i do them anyway, for variety.

The cart paths I'm using in my first course are linked to "gallery boxes" at the mid-fairways and greens, so they are a definitive part of the design. The rolling hills of this course make the cart paths a pain and fidgety for putting in, but I like the effect of the "brick" pattern. In the future, I think about half of my courses might not have them, however.
