Seeing as Trees tagged me, I'd probably chuck this one in as inspiration, as I drew off Bayou for this project: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/29685/darkwater-barrensIt's not in 2K23 as they murdered the delta trees (RIP), but there's a JimGem playthrough in there if you don't have 2K21 and want to get an idea of what the course looks like. |

(pssst - you should listen to your wife ) Thank you both for your input, very much appreciated. One thing I am not going for is a "pretty" course. This idea may be great, but it could flop as well. Basically I am going through and heavily planting everything as I create the holes. I don't think I'm going to run into issues with the object meter on this course. Once the course is complete, I'm going to try and decide if it works. The idea I have in my head is a very eerie feeling almost scary. I want you to think while you are teeing off that you should be looking out for the swamp thing...lol. again I'm not sold on it at this point, but we will see. Here are a couple more photos.    |

Posted a beta tonight, beta name 8675309 swamp beta.
I have the course heavily planted, all 18 holes layed out. I am still working on tweaks such as sight lines and details.
I have had fun building this course and was obviously trying to be unique. I thought I had an original idea, comes to find out similar ideas have been made. I have watched the videos and played those courses and they are really good. Those courses were made prettier than what I was going for, but same idea.
I am open to all of the feedback! Not sure if I'm going to submit this for the contest or just have fun with it.

Those oversized trees that you used in a lot of your near field planting were moving all over the place in the wind which made them look pretty strange. They also block the sight lines in some places. I would probably just rip all of those out? Most of the other planting looked pretty good though.
Sight lines are tricky on a flat plot. I think raising up the tee boxes a little bit where you can might help.
A couple of hole specific things I noted:
13 - Maybe consider having fairway on both sides of that bunker?
14 - The right side is too narrow, and if you go safe by hitting left you are blocked out by a tree.
Hope some of that helps! I wouldn’t be discouraged about other courses looking the same as yours. I think entering the contest is still a good idea since you’ll get a lot more feedback. Good luck!

Revamping this swamp course. Most of the planting looked wierd with the sunken trees. Please give this a go and let me know your thoughts. New beta 8675309 swamp beta V2. If you see any sunken trees near the playing area I missed , please let me know. I know there are some in the distance mostly to block edge of map stuff.
Also, are you able to submit 2 courses in the rookie contest? I thought I saw somewhere you could.
