Hi All,
I looked around and found differing opinions on this topic. Here's my question. If I only have 1 set of tees, can my course be tourworthy? Does 1 set hurt my chances of getting a tourworthy course, and 4 sets help my chances?

Search tee manipulation thread by Q. This method allows you to change the order of tees, I use this on my courses that have been on tour. Tend to just have one tee on long par 4s and 5s but I use multiple tees on the par 3s and some short 4s to give variety and different looks, much like you’d get in a tour event or major IRL

Search tee manipulation thread by Q.
Thanks Paddy,
Can you or someone point me in the right direction for this thread. I searched for this, and even searched specifically by "Q" as the author, but I'm only coming up with threads where people mentioned they used Tee Manipulation. No threads explaining what it actually is or how to accomplish it.

Your course can be Tour worthy with only one set of tees. Four sets of usable tees is a novelty and not a requirement. Q's video:

There is no real requirement for the number of tee boxes, in terms of getting "Tour Worthy" status. There have been courses placed on Tour that have just one tee option.

I feel like I could just offer up something like this instead where 2 tees are way back from different angles to make it a three shot par 5, and 2 tees were up a little more to make it a potential 2 shot par 5. Is this a viable option? Also, I think I saw someone mention in another thread that you don't have to use 4 tees on every hole, is that correct? Anyone know?

Tee manipulation is useful if, for example, you want the black tees farther than the blue tees on some holes, but the blue tees farther than the black tees on other holes.
If you don't set the same number of tees on all the holes, the back tees will just move up to the next tee set that you do place on the hole. So, if you have Red (furthest up), White, Blue and Black (furthest back) tees, if you place 3 tee sets on hole #2, the Black Tee will play from the Blue Tee on hole 2.

It’s the only way to have multiple tee sets that are around the same total yardage. It’s slightly confusing at the start but once you understand the method it’s incredibly useful. If I just want one tee on certain holes I just delete the other ones and then only use the multiple tees on the par 3s or a par 4 to give a driveable option etc. that’s easier than manipulating tees on every hole
