If you look around on my course Darby Creek you'll see some tracks (to the right of the 6th tee). There are also train tracks on Lachlan Crossing which is where I found the technique. I use two splined railings and then sink them down so the top of the railing just pokes above the ground. Then I use a bunch of parallel sunken retaining wall pieces for the railroad ties. Mulch texture works well for the track bed.
