So... I started a Swiss course in 2k23 with no trees, rocks, grass or anything. I even zeroed out trees etc. I have not placed a single object on the plot. It is relatively flat with no sculpting, yet my memory meter is at 19%.I could understand 1% to 2%. Is anyone else having this issue? Oh, I have also saved and quit as well as completely shut down the game... still 19%. I am on PS5. Any thoughts?

Shade, that's just the objects that 'come with' your theme.
Definitely some are now a bit larger than their 2K21 counterparts, due to better detail on some objects. And some are larger because a few more objects are 'packaged' with the theme. For example, from what I've planted so far, birches & aspens each seem to eat a bit more, but it's worth it for the better leaf rendering.
That MEMORY number will only increase as you add individual objects from the 'all' menus of each. If you 'delete all' of an non-theme object after placing some, it will give the memory back ... (TBH, I'm not sure it always does).
Some objects will eat that up faster than others - cars seem brutal for what they add to a course, but that's because they actually have MODELED interiors, while most buildings are just a skinned shell.
