Welcome to Elysian Fields. Named after the 6th hole a Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. The meaning: "In classical mythology, the place where souls of the gods went after death: a peaceful and beautiful region, full of meadows, groves, sunlight, and fresh air." This a traditional scottish links golf course, that plays up and down the seas and winds of Scotland. It has some quirks and different hole designs that one might experience on a old links course. The course was inspired by North Berwick and Prestwick Golf Club. Started and finished in 2k21, then published in 2k23. Play with the winds up, to get a true links feel. Shout out to cd06 and b101 for following along with this project and the playthroughs. Enjoy!

This looks sick, I really enjoyed Wingspread and Farington Moss from you before. You're great at creating environments, really looking forward to this.

Was great following along with this one. Really enjoyed the course and thought the environment was as authentic as I've ever seen from a links in this game. Awesome job Scott, this is class

*sends off to be rangered immediately* Hoping the CC Tour gets an opportunity to play this and not just the top tiers.

This is spectacular. I probably would have preferred you not ring the bunkers like that, but I know you're trying to create a pot bunker look, so I get it. It's really good in all aspects.
My new favorite 23 course! Well done!

My new favorite 23 course! Well done! I actually think it looks great. Much much preferred than putting those horizontal wooden planks (??) to simulate a revetted bunker face. Provides a good contrast in visuals.

The best traditional links course in game... hands down! Can't say any more than that. (Special mention to Shoreditch Links, Farington Moss, Tor, Kingsgate and Rossmackowen.) Enjoyed even more with my first ace in 2K23 on hole 6!

I think yeltzman will enjoy this course. The Prestwick vibe is very much alive at Elysian Fields.

Really enjoyed this. Lovely environment with high-quality but understated planting which works really nicely. I get big Seaton Carew vibes with the holes working through the gentle dunes, tight fairways and intricate approaches. The 4th green is a thing of pure evil - love it!

I just played the beta in 2k21 and I honestly though it was pretty great and hands down one of the better links courses in the game. Every hole was unique and different and I had to think about all my drives. Ended up clubbing down to 3wood even on some of the par 5s with the high north wind I had, which I like in a design.
The routing is really good. Did you create a plot and then "find" the holes or did you go into it with a routing and hole designs in mind and then make it look natural? Cause the greens sites and sculpting and bunker placement around the greens, was stellar and very natural looking I thought.
Did you make many changes to it for 23?
