I shot +24 in the weekly qualifier, only improving because of the easier course I believe. I have autism so every time I swing it is a new swing for me. I can learn visual things easily so in normal play I have no problems. Math and other abstract things like this are very hard. I learn nothing about the timing when I play. I just hook 200 yd fades or slices off the tee over and over and over. I think it may be time to give up on TGC since I will never use three click.

I might stay around to see what happens with everyone using the default balls in 2 weeks though. Also I play par golf when skills are on and bogey without them I noticed.

Being that you're a visual person when it comes to the swing - I've sort of just look at the golfer animation. IF you go to practice range and turn the meter on- look at what the golfer animation does at the point where you need to start the downswing. Practice that - and then turn off the meter and see if you can get similar results.
Mainly it's when your elbow/upper arm is parallel to the ground and the club head is visually above your head..
Good luck Mark - keep at it..

I'm still stuck at around +6/+8 because I have trouble knowing where the end of my backswing is.

As a fellow lower tier CC Abyss player working my way down the alphabet soup ladder, I thought I'd throw this out there and see if it would help in any way. You may have already tried this but just in case. On full [length] shots, let the backswing finish completely and hold it at the top ala Bob Murphy. In practicing this technique briefly, I was able to get either 95% or 98 % swing strength with good slow/fast swing timing pretty consistently. You may have to adjust your downswing "tempo" to achieve decent results (don't expect any perfects), but if the issue is where your backswing stops, this would solve it on full length shots. From there, you would adjust club for distance and aim for fast/slow swing tempo. I have not tested this with partial shots, but I would imagine the swing strength % would still be high, so you would have to use the "intent" and loft box to try and adjust your full shot length, revert back to a regular swing tempo, or experiment with other shot types (ie, chip, punch, pitch, flop, etc). Obviously preventing partial shots would help, but that's not always possible. At any rate, maybe give it a try and see if it helps? Here's a video of it. It felt like I paused longer than the clip shows, but I think you get the idea. Ignore the horrible swing path. Not sure what happened there. lol This was the 1st time I tried hitting a ball using the method in a live round/event. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, eh? lol

Then push the mouse back to where he is addressing the ball (keeping my finger on the mouse button). Then I pull back and take a complete swing. I'll get 95-102% power and a straight-ish drive. It does take some time to learn on the practice range, but it works wonders for me. Also works for approach shots and par-3s.
