Well played this week Boffo and OMG. I was going ok in Rd 3, level through 14, but I had a bad finish. I double bogeyed 18 and ended up + 4. That leaves me at +5 for the tournament. I'm just happy that I made the cut.

Nothing worse than a par 5 18th where you’re thinking possible birdie, worst case par and you end up with a double bogey or worse. Especially on a course where it is so hard to get worse than a bogey.
I double bogeyed 18 in round one and it still annoys me and really stands out as my only bad hole for the week. Took my -1 into a +1 and really ruined what was a decent round otherwise.

-2 in the third round and a -5 in the final took me to -18 for the event. Looks like that should be good for a tie in 6th place unless something wild happens between now and the end of the day. My best performance overall since I qualified for CC-L and not too surprising because it felt good basically the whole way through. It's nice to play four rounds where I was basically able to do whatever I was trying to.
Had a look at my stats and nothing was particularly outstanding - 10-12th or worse in almost every category until I got to scrambling percentage and saw I'm in first with 88.5%. A little surprising especially since I didn't hole out from off the green a single time across the whole tourney. Also finished tied for the fewest bogeys and fourth for most par holes. Consistency has been my biggest issue so I feel like this was a nice step forward.

Looks like I squeezed into the top 20 last week based on three average rounds and one good round. I’ll take it.
Round 1 of this week was certainly an interesting round for me. Four three putts in the first 6 holes with a lot of those missed putts being under 10ft. +6 through 8 holes. Somehow ended the round at even par after all that. On hold 11 I left a 95ft. putt on the edge of the cup.
Very wide open fairways. Some decent break on most greens. Winds in the mid-teens. Not much in the way of hazards but some serious fairway slopes. Plays kind of similar to last week where there’s not a lot of risk of posting many double bogeys or worse. If you can deal with the wind there’s a lot of birdie chances available with shorter holes.

I matched your E par round Boffo in Rd 1. I started with a double bogey and was fearing the worst, but I played pretty well after that. I birdied both 17 and 18 which is always a nice way to finish.

-1 for round two. Started hole one with a double bogey once again making me play catch-up early. Never got worse than +2 at any point and never got under par until a birdie on 18. So similar score to round 1, just a much more normal way to get there. -1 feels like it should leave me somewhere near the cut line. I’ll be happy just avoiding a demotion mark after that +6 through 8 hole start.

Is there a restriction as to which clubs for this tour? If so what is it?

I got off to a great start in Rd 2 and made an eagle at the 4th and was -3 through 5 holes for both the round and the tournament and then it went completely off the rails. I ended up shooting a +4 which will comfortably miss the cut.

I think you're just going to squeak in there at -1, boffo. Hell of a comeback either way considering that start! I didn't know if I was going to make it back from hiking in time to get rounds in this week. I played my first last night with the servers slow as mud and managed a bogeyless -5 even though it took almost an hour. With those issues I didn't want to play another so I crossed my fingers and hoped today would give me a better connection. Well it did that but yikes, I hit three bogeys on the front nine! Only +1 from it since I had two birdies as well. But the back nine went much better -- a 23-yard eagle splash shot on 13 helped push me to -5 on the back nine, for -8 and a tie for 12th at the cut. If I could pick up two promotion marks this week I could swing my first promotion before everything locks in for the last three weeks. It's probably not likely but it is within striking distance so that's my goal in the last two rounds.

Was going to play round 3 last night but with how slow everything was going I decided to hold off.
If you weren’t a big fan of this course after two rounds the third round will not help at all. Green speeds at 192 so don’t expect your ball to ever stop rolling. You pretty much need full loft on any approach shot or nothing but the lightest tap on the putter for any putt under 25 ft and even that might not be enough. Fortunately my tee shots were fairly consistent and my putting was decent enough for me to trade enough birdies and bogeys to stay around par all round. A four putt from mid range on 16 gave me a double bogey and dropped me to +1 for the round which is where I finished. Happy to escape with that.
At this point just making the cut to lose my last demotion mark is all I was hoping for this week, so anything I manage in rounds 3 and 4 is fine with me.

Finished my week with a -1 to finish the event -1. Not going to be a relevant score but I lost my demotion mark and while the path to get to them wasn’t consistent I appreciated my consistent scoring. With such variation from round to round in wind speed and green speed to have all four rounds be between -1 and +1 makes me happy.
+8 over the first two holes for the four rounds is the fairly obvious thing that hurt me this week.

Problem with green speeds this fast is that it affects every shot around the greens. Putts, chips, splashes, approaches. You get afraid to hit it too flush, because it won't stop rolling until it gets to Detroit.

You may not know this, but your fittings or skill tree are actively making the greens faster (max designers can set is 186, so you’ve managed to add 6 to that). You want as LOW a putt roll as possible if you struggle on fast greens. Slightly ludicrous system but thought I’d flag.
