I was recently faced with an issue with greenside bunkers that I wanted to have heavy rough faces, but the first cut of rough was causing problems. I also didn't want the first cut of rough around the greens. I eliminated the secondary surface from the fairway splines and it solved the problem. But I did come across this design where the secondary surface ends before the green complex, how do I achieve this in the designer? I have circled where the first cut ends in red here, as you can see it tapers off nicely and leaves a clean green surround. Ideally this is what I would like to do, but I haven't not figured out how.

You can add light rough with the spine tool. It will be laid down on top of the heavy rough but will be under the fairway texture so won't encroach into any placed fairway.

What wavy rough lines? If you use the spline tool (as opposed to the brush tool) you'll get clean lines.
