I think all they have done is make the divide between the very good and the average even wider, you can either crack the tempo or you cant, if you cant you get punished way more than before

What is the fitting that makes the narrow white area larger? If you mean the swing path white area (long white line), any fitting with a positive swing path attribute will help, but the swing path fittings will help the most.
If you meant the small white line at the top, then you want the timing attribute.

At times it really is frustrating how much swing path in this game can be so realistic. Almost every time I swing I think I need to pull it either straight down or slightly right, but in reality it’s usually slightly down to the left and then slightly back up to the right. I think I can probably play around with my fittings and golfer skills to make it more consistent too. I’ve just not put in the time to check it really. Interestingly enough a new controller didn’t really change my swing path for the better either.
Nonetheless I still enjoy the challenge this game presents…usually ha.
