Career mode is the meta. You get one lot of VC and fittings / balls for each tournament and another set for beating your rival plus sponsor unlocks too each event. Just set one round events and grind. The harder the difficulty the better the rewards although don’t make it too hard because if you finish >25th you don’t get a lot. Also be sure to upgrade your lower / not required fittings to better fittings and try not to fit anything less than purple as it’s a waste of VC Can you explain what the BOLDED portion means? I don't really understand what you're suggesting I upgrade / or how I should upgrade it.
If you have three fittings of the same colour, then you can either exchange them for a random fitting one level up, or choose a type of fitting of the same level

Some good advice I’ve seen is to not apply any fittings less than purple or red and save your VC, upgrade anything less than red or purple. It took me two seasons of career playing one rounders on TGCT settings to get a good stash of fittings, all red and purple applied now, still upgrade anything else I get that’s lower than those

Just wanted to update this thread-
I put in a ticket with 2K about this.
So I got this very nice person, actually seemed to be emailing me things that were not copy/pasted. They asked me to do this and that, though, following their protocols.
I complied, did everything they asked. Still only getting awarded the VC's for playing without hitting the stroke limit only about 20% of the time.
I thought that just maybe I was misinterpreting something, not understanding how the formula works, but the one thing that shot that down was that I get a message that tells me I got 25 VCs for meeting the challenge, but my balance at the top does not increase.
So at this point I played about six games... I wrote down times and dates and my VC balances, and exactly what matches I played, and what the game told me, and how it did not increase them in my balance. I detailed it all out. I included the times and dates of these games so they could go look at their server logs and see what happened.
The support person comes back at this point and tells me they knows exactly how I feel, because they are a player too, and they know of this problem, and that others have had it. The next step is.... they want me to submit video evidence... to move forward... WHAT?!!
Ok, I did my best to give proof, and dates and times, so they could do their job. I do not get paid by 2K, or work for them. I reported a bug... I gave all the evidence I could, and now they want me to video my games or screens. Sorry, but thats too much. I don't record or stream my games, and not going to go to all that trouble for a company that should at this point, I feel, maybe do a little legwork themselves...
Sorry for the vent, but I just had to get it off my chest, and let you guys know what happened and what they are asking.

I had to send in screenshots of my purchase receipt and my PlayStation account transaction history just to get the 1300 VC I was supposed to get as part of the Tiger Woods Edition of the game. In the end, they did send it my way, plus an extra 600 VC for the inconvenience. So it is a lot of hoops to jump through, but they do usually come through in the end if they can.

Update-
in case anyone else is experiencing this, and is wondering-
From reading sroel908 's post, and from my assigned support person, I realized I did not have to send an actual video, that screenshots were fine if they provided evidence.
I captured numerous screen shots of two matches, that clearly show what is going on, and shows where the game gives me the shot challenge, tells me I hit it, and that I've been awarded 25 VCs, but my balance does not change.
I've been informed that this is enough proof, and this has all been sent to the proper people as a bug report now.
So lets hope it pops up in a future patch! And thats all I really wanted, I don't care about the 25 VCs per match as much as I care that someone acknowledges the bug and will say they will work on it.
I do have to say that my support person, Adid, has been very nice and helpful. I've been impressed that they have been courteous, not condescending, and very much willing to help.

I cancelled a support ticket for the very reason you stated, they wanted video evidence. The person was very nice, but I explained essentially what you said, that I already spent good money and did not have the set up to video record. I was asking why the calibration used to hand you a driver, now hands you a 3 wood? I mean really, does that need proof. I gave up and said silently, "shove it" and moved on. It was just a question but first level CS seems unable to sort anything, it all needs to be escalated and to do that, they need the screen shot/video evidence. I hear you re: courteous and all but not very helpful.

So I just played four rounds and watched my VC and I am not getting the 25VC after each completed round either. This game is such trash it is not surprising though. Since the "pandemic" in every facet of life, the folks just seem to be "mailing it in."
It's a small thing yes, but every damn week there is something about this game that's fubar.
Rant off.

Sounds like we all should be entitled to receive VC that was promised but not given.

Update-
I just got word, via my support ticket, that they have found and fixed this issue, and it should be fixed in the next patch!
