Tee waypoint and tee color

I've tried to read through other threads to no avail. Does the tee waypoint get "assigned" to one color of tee? Or to the tee color that is the furthest back? 

I've had one hole on my home course where I have from back to front:
Black
Green
White
Gold

My waypoint was set to the back/tips tee (black). When I subsequently move my most forward gold tee (which was in the fairway) to the forward tee box off to the right, the waypoint changes to this forward most tee. Why won't it stay assigned to the back tee?

The waypoint gets assigned to whatever tee was put down when the hole was created (red by default). Any subsequent tees will use that way point.

I have had the back waypoint move when putting in additional tees. Just move it back to where it belongs and delete that new tee and put it back in. Usually fixes it
