$1300 USD for 4 nights and 8 rounds?! Yep that’s roughly what it equates to in USD. It’s a pretty good value for what you’re getting for it. The double header days help as the second round is half price. Same trip in the summer you are paying close to double the cost. I think it might be $1800 USD not CAD? 2024 rates on the website show $220/night for Chrome Lake Double (you got 6 of these?) and $220 for the 36-hole days, $145 for the solo Pac day and I'm guessing around $75 for Preserve? Either way that's a steal, my April trip was 7 rounds and 4 nights in a Cottage and I think we were over $3K each.

The rooms are split so you are paying half the price of a room. That might account for the cost jump you are seeing. Double checked the 2024 rates and they match what I have plugged into my spreadsheet. Should be 1868 CAD pending exchange rate. Chrome lake: 270/night= 135/person/night x 4nights = 540 4 full price rounds = 4 x 145 = 580 3 replay rounds = 3 x 75 = 225 1 round at preserve = 60 Golf total = 865 Grand total = 1405 USD +\-

I didn't know they had opened up 2024 bookings yet. My travel group is planning to go back to Bandon in 2024 since our last trip was 2019. I need to look into this ASAP. Good on you for booking February. That's the hidden gem month to go to Bandon from what many people have told me. We went in August, played Preserve and then 3 days of 36 holes and it cost roughly $3k USD including 4 nights in the Grove cottages. Yeah I had been in contact with the reservation team and knew they were opening up reservations in the fall. I’m also on the reservation email list and I was lucky to check my email a few hours after they opened so I was able to have my choice of dates/ tee times. Feb is a bit of sleeper month that books up quickly. This will be my 5th time and 4 of those times I’ve gone in February. Generally we’ve had some pretty good luck with weather with temps in the mid teens (degrees C). This year we were a bit unlucky and landed on a stretch of bad weather after what was one of the best Januarys on record. It’s always gamble in Bandon, just have to be prepared for the weather! Your 2019 trip sounds like it was awesome how was the weather in the summer? I would love to get there in the summer to experience the really firm conditions. Hmm I must've missed the email somehow. I have 3 different addresses on their email lists for this very reason but somehow missed it lol. Needless to say our group is working on it now (as well as our 2023 trek out to western Nebraska). Our 2019 trip ran into Labor Day weekend and the weather was honestly too good. We had a 2 club wind for the back nine at Pac Dunes but otherwise played golf for 4 days in very calm and mostly sunny conditions. The last day, fog came was super thick for our 2nd round on Bandon Dunes until we reached the 15th tee when it pulled back. By the time we reached 16 tee it was clear, sunny and calm. We heard that the wind had been 30-45 every day for a week before we arrived and then it was back up there the morning when we drove back to Portland...but somehow we found 4 perfect days that will likely never happen again. In anticipation of the wind, silly me left my sand wedge at home in favor of an old Adams 39* chipper that I could hit low running shots with up to about 140y. It was an awesome club for the Preserve (I played an entire round with just that and a putter) but of course I constantly found myself with 95-105y approach shots in calm winds wishing I had my 56*. Lesson learned to take 15 clubs for the next visit!

Nebraska Eh? Whats courses, Landmand, Wildhourse?...Sandhills!? I have got to make my way out theere at some point. Oh man, no wind and sunny in the summer must have been amazing. We had sun 0.5 out of 5 days last trip. Course like Old Mac feel so much better in the sun when you can see all the land movement. Hoping next time will give us a bit more. Like the idea of the chipper. Might have to bring one of those next time. I was putting from 100yds out on some holes after I started shanking pitches haha.

Primary plan is lining up our lodging at Prairie Club. We were supposed to go this year but the weekend lodging schedule got mixed up by the member arranging it so we went to Kohler/Erin Hills/Lawsonia instead. So if it all comes together next year... Prairie Club Dismal River Wildhorse (at least a few of us will play there on the drive out from Omaha) Caprock Ranch (won't know until next spring if they can get all 8 of us on) I'd LOVE to play Landmand but it's the wrong direction from Omaha so likely a miss on this trip.

Gone are the days I can just drive down to Bandon and sneak a round in as a single. I'd love to be a part of this but who knows if I'll even be living in Oregon in 2024

I'd love to be a part of this but who knows if I'll even be living in Oregon in 2024 If I lived in a reasonable radius to Bandon I’d be doing the same. I get it. It’s always tough to commit to something over a year away. I’ll post about this trip a few months before we go just in case there are some guys who are good to go.

If the dates work and I can convince my wife, I might well make the trip. Appreciate that's about as non-commital as it gets, but hard to know for sure right now as term dates aren't finalised. Did you have a specific week in Feb booked?

I’ll be keeping an eye out if you guys go to Sand Valley now the LIDO is opening!
Still praying @hickory ghost puts his two versions on the game so we can play them.
It’s a pain having to go back into 2k21 to play it. Definitely my favourite course in that game

Definitely my favourite course in that game I live in Wisconsin, and will be planning a 2025 weekend at Sand Valley, as both Lido and Sedge Valley will be open by then. Can't wait.
