2k23 - expendable balls when playtesting

Hi guys,

It seems that in 23 you can not play your unpublished courses locally from the course selection menu.

Is there a way to playtest your unfinished courses with the expendable balls, to see how the course plays under different ball conditions? Or is all playtesting with stock balls?

I’m loving the new game so far, but not being able to play test in a local match is pretty disappointing.

You can, it's hidden at the bottom of the pop-up 'sorting' menu once you are in a course select screen.

Detailed instructions on how to get there...

Go to a local round
Go to the course select hub...the one that shows the official courses and lets you select more filters
Select "More Filters"
Go into any of the course select filters (Recently Added, HCP Rated, etc.)
On PS4, click the L1 trigger...not sure what it's technically called on other controllers.
Way at the bottom is "Unpublished", click that and you're unpublished courses show up for play

Tried this on PC and don’t see it.

For PC:

Local Match --> New Match --> Select Course --> Left Button (Filter) --> Go all the way to the bottom, Unpublished) --> Select your unpublished course and away you go!

if you equip the consumable ball on your MyPlayer, you can playtest in the designer with the equipped ball.

If you go off-line, your Unpublished Courses are also easy to find to play in Casual Local Match. I think 2019 was like this.

I found this out because Quick Resume on XBox always takes you off-line when you return to the game.
