In anticipation of the release of PGA 2K23, I am going to update two of my 3 favorite releases: Tomahawk Valley C.C. and Larkspur Hills Golf Club. These courses were released on TGC 2019, and a lot of the decisions from the tee and risk/reward carries were rendered completely obsolete on PGA2K21 (all players can hit the ball father than the old games. We'll see what happens in 2K23). Also, I improved some in terms of design techniques, and while playing the old courses I don’t like some of the execution (bunkers across multiple surfaces, odd shapes, huge greens and fairways, etc.). Some holes will see a complete redesign while others may just rely on different tee options.
I think tackling this mini project will get the old design gears turning again and inspire me to complete a course for 2022. I'd like one solid release per year from 2019. I'll likely be streaming on twitch.tv/tomatograss. Initial updated pics coming soon, and more to come later!
