Dear TST enthusiasts,
Let's play some more Masters this week at one of my favorite courses: Hacienda del Roque.
We played this course on Pro as well, so let's see how our scores compare to a year ago.

-2, -8 for me. Finished bogey, double in round one that took the shine off what I thought was two good rounds.
Frans I can see why you like this course. Really nice and feels very natural. Not easy either. Loads of subtle breaks on the green made them tough to read.
Setting myself a target of -20 for the four. A little rusty after a few weeks off but happy with my tempo.
Play well guys.
Edit: scrap that, played the last two and shot -12,10 so I'm absolutely delighted with my play aside from 17&18 on round one. -32 is the number on Xbox for now.

Playing after being out of the house for 14 hours, never a good thing. Drinking whilst playing, never a good thing, rounds should slowly get worse? Nope.
73/70/69 (-4) thru three. Onwards…

73/70/69/71 (-5) Finished 32nd (out of 44)
Fairways: 78.57% (7/44) Greens: 69.44% (29/44) Putts Per Hole: (35/44)
Scrambling: 50.00% (35/44) Proximity to Hole: 36.4ft Shot 66/67 missed cut earlier in the year for comparison. And 69 post cut (didn’t finish round 4). Edit: just checked the in-game ghost list and seems I hit 66/67/69/67 (-19) last October with Pro swing. |

One of the rare few here who can actually compare scores! Left this one very late but got it done, and not bad for just playing 4 rounds this week, all of them these ones! Pro during week 3 of the season: -10, -7, -3, -7 = -27 (then my PB score in True Sim, made cut and finished T-50 that week) Master this week: -7 (slow start, late bogey but a birdie train for majority of back nine) -1 (2 doubles, bleh) -7 (hang on, a better round 3 here than then?...) -6 (...and almost the same thing here?) = -21, I know it's post season and no interest at large but top 25 is still top 25...? Only real differences were not hitting as many good shots (had about as much luck hitting overpowered drives than normal ones!), no eagles and my putting seemed about the same here, but looking back at stats seemed to be actually... better, somehow? Fairly enjoyable, even if only for comparing my difference of skill to about a year back. And yeah, Pro has definitely made me a better player by looks of things. Didn't think I was much of a Master player before but if I can hang reasonably well here then something in my game must have changed big time! Or I could just not have given myself enough credit back then, but... probably not that if perfectly honest. PS. why couldn't have this been also played with handicaps on like week 3?  PS. number 2: 17 finishers on PC by the time I had finished with a few hours to spare... the exact number of people that made a cut and ended up finishing in week 3 on the same platform. The reasons are obvious and all, but still thought that was somewhat interesting... to only myself. Another try next week? |
