Hopefully in the next couple of weeks before the World Snooker starts and many playing the other game time to get a few courses in 2k23 Prestwick very close now,real problem is the playtesting the amount of times you need to play it to make sure it's playable for all. * in game pictures * Oldest existing hole in championship golf unchanged since 1851. Really interesting to me how small the (pot) bunkers look of the tee at the 12th Royal Liverpool(open) amazing how they attract the ball 330 one bunker new one added for the wind against at 290.  |

Xbox Screenshots and Green info from the 11th at Loch Lomond plus recent course changes flyover Community request to get into 2k23.    I was very fortunate to play here IRL as I knew a member, it’s truly a very special place. We got picked up my Loch Lomond range rovers at Glasgow airport and they radio in as you arrive and a butler meets you at front of the house (mansion really) with tankards of single malt and your clubs and shoes disappear off for cleaning and prep. After lunch you go to the locker room (full of leather sofas, TVs and a bar) for a pint of Belhaven Best and your shoes appear after being warmed up in a heater which is something I never knew I needed! But was awesome. You then make your way to the first tee where the caddies arrive with your clean clubs and off you go! You also get unlimited free single malt in your room for the night which is dangerous! It was one of the best days of golf I’ve had despite chopping it round in 85 so I’m really excited for you to get this back in the game, please let us know when we can book tee times! |

Yep very expensive i hear now to become a member there (100k) and near impossible to play, Saying that considering the course was in ruin they have done a great job saving the course.

151st Open Championship (L) Already a non lidar royal Liverpool in game as the members play it,will add the day by day pins for the event like the last two times so you can play the pins the same day.No reason really to add a version before the event unless there's a call for it seems to me 2k23 really dead.just a shame the meter went from 40% to 80%.  Forgot all about Muirfield once the Non lidar was released, As Jack Nicklaus said Muirfield the one course in the UK which could hold a Open at a day's notice really are championship greens. |

Sick, thanks for the new course bud.
Muirfield grows on me everytime I play it. Its not flashy or bold but it is a really good challenge. I find you have to hit fairways there and the thing is, it is hard to hit fairways there. If you get out of position, you're best hope is to get it to 2 putt range cause thats all you really have with the angles and bunkers, surrounds etc. And stay out of all bunkers at all times.
I really wish they would give us a sod wall traditional pot bunker in the designer. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard. Just increase the height and stacks of sod same as shrinking/growing a bunker brush. I dunno.

When i am next in the designer ill release a version, ill send you a message with the name of it, Royal Liverpool will be a Rights issue later i feel,and ill keep 151st open championship for after the event.

Well someone as asked for RSG and Royal Liverpool ill try to get them in the game the weekend but at the moment downloading so much new course data not much time to do much else. Just Love how the new 2022 data as picked up the real "links" terrain. I just get lost in time exploring the layouts and course changes. Then you realise still need around 200-300 hours to design it at my pace.  Royal Liverpool xmas 2023 flyover Final version i reckon just need to improve the stands a little. |

Maybe the hardest par 3 on the Open rota the 4th at Muirfield, plus in the right lighting which i feel in games going forward needs to be improved over the course you do get some nice screenshots.   Interesting the Non Lidar version of Muirfield one of the Top Rated courses on PC,so again is there a need for another version but as you can see from the 2nd massive elevation changes difference.   Perhaps if the elevations are that far off real life, we might need a LiDAR version! |

yeltzman Thanks for putting out the RSG and Hoylake versions. I played them over the weekend and they are great as always. Liverpool although good, doesn't quite scratch my itch like other UK links like Portrush, Lahinch, Cruden Bay, Enodoc and some more. I feel the angles are very important there and sometimes its tough to generate a good one but the routing just isn't as dramatic and the holes aren't as interesting as the others. Lots of space to host an open and tradition and all but if I was on the R&A I'd voice a change to something new. Does anyone know if Cruden Bay could host an open? Lahinch had the Irish Open when Rahm won, Portrush I hope they go back to...

i agree with you They moved the open From Lytham to Royal Liverpool Due to the amount of corporate and crowds they can get in, I am Very biased but Lytham to me is one of the best open courses just a shame they have moved the open away from it. With Lytham and at the moment Turnberry not on the open list,And Muirfield only recently getting back into the good side of the R&A course choices a little limited really at the moment not sure they are looking at any more courses to see which could host a open.hunstanton maybe as a par 70 could hold one and a favourite of many Saunton (east) There going back to Portrush in 2025 after Troon next year where it will be low crowds and it don't make so much money so they will get it all back when it goes back to Portrush with the massive crowds there and amount of money it generates such a shame now its all about money and not the course.i feel it will be ireland if they add any new venue's for the open plenty of courses good enough to host one.2026 maybe Birkdale with the recent course changes going on.  Royal St Georges i think is only more popular because it hosts the Open's to me Royal Cinque Ports the course close to RSG is a better course i feel but it only held it twice way in the past. Again it's like everything all have different favourites. |
