Hey, my bad rounds make me want to stick to computer golf sometimes!!! i think when online golf becomes virtual reality, that will just be a game changer. Imagine being able to play the best courses in the world with a super clear VR !!!

Hi, Would be keen to see the opinions people have formed for the 'best' places for golf? Very subjective and maybe hard to pin to one area. I've been looking at a really wide span of courses recently and started to form a bias towards Oceania.. I feel it has a lot of similarities to traditional links but with a few added qualities. I'd say mainly aesthetic qualities but so many courses just look absolutely mind blowing yet so natural. A few I really like below; St Andrews Beach National (Moonah Course) Barnbougle (Farm and Dunes) Kingston Heath I’m going to put the Surrey / Berkshire sand belt out there - Sunningdale, Wentworth, The Berkshire, Swinley Forest, Hankley Common, Hindhead, Woking, West Hill, Worplesdon, Fox Hills, The Wisley, Queenwood, Walton Heath, New Zealand, Reigate Heath… I’m sure I’m missing a few but these are all within 25 miles of each other. Just an absolute Mecca for inland golf

Just having a really good look at Cinque now... absolutely breath taking. The contouring/terrain is just other worldly. Have you played here ?? Yes, RCP is probably the most fun I’ve had playing golf. Absolutely, used to play Prince’s (all 54), RSG, RCP and Deal all in one trip, it’s unreal golf there within 5 miles of each other

Oregonian here. From a pure golf perspective Bandon is really hard to beat, though it lacks golf with historical significance and mainly showcases the best of Modern golf. In terms of Family trips Bandon sucks as there isnt ANYTHING else to do but golf. Monterey has quite the offering of other stuff to do that makes it a better tourist destination (The Aquarium is probably one of the best in the world).

When the SO and I lived in California we visited the aquarium twice or three times per year. Just absolutely phenomenal. Sorry to interject into the conversation there

The answer is Scotland. The question is which part of Scotland.
