NOTE: Promotions/Demotions will be off for all tours for the playoffs - starting August 7th.
Platinum, Elite, Kinetic Tour Playoffs Knockout StyleThe following playoff format will be in place for each pro tour starting Week 46 (August 7th). August 7th (Everyone registered) - Make cut (Top 65+ ties) or be top 50 on Money List after event finalized to move on to August 14th event August 14th (remaining eligible registered) - Make cut (Top 30+ ties) or be top 10 on money list after event finalized to move on to August 21st event August 21st (remaining eligible registered) - no cut (R1/R2 deadline still in effect) - Winner takes tour title and trophy card Challenge Circuit – No Playoffs
Season plays out normally with the exception of no promotions/demotions for the final 3 events. Why no Playoffs on the Challenge Circuit?I have to manually process/run the playoffs and doing so for the 12 CC flights is more than I can commit to. Another factor is that our qualifying filters 95%+ new players into the Challenge Circuit - would complicate/confuse those just coming onto the tours in the last few weeks of the season.

- Promotions/Demotions will be turned off starting August 7th - with no news on a new game we're planning to start the following season using PGA 2K21 - further updates will come after the season wraps |

You won't get any more from here on out - you can ignore the projected marks. Bummer. I would've cleared 2 of my 3 demo marks by advancing in elite playoffs this week. Makes sense though as I’m sure it would be a logistical nightmare cleaning up incorrect promo/demo movement with the playoffs going on. |

I know only the top 30 will advance to the Tour championship but the Platinum leaderboard is currently showing a cut line for the top 30. That can't be right? Wouldn't a playoff event with only 77 players be a no cut? Those of us unlikely to make the top 30 might still want the money winnings and WGR points from playing the weekend

I know that but there is no need for a cut to 30 players after 36 holes as the leaderboard currently shows It's a knockout style playoffs - the cut is to knockout a portion of the field - but still allow a chance for those not in the top 10 to make it to the final event. Whether it's needed or not I guess depends on how you feel the playoffs should be set up. This is what we're going with. |
