Last week on thursday I was lucky enough to be able to travel to Scotland and witness round one of The Open at St. Andrews. I loved the course so much, it was so different from the courses that I see in the United States. What I loved so much about the course was the quirky designs of the greens as well as the option off the tee to take an iron instead of a driver and use ground game to figure your way around the course. I really want to create a course just like St. Andrews, that starts in the town and moves out to the ocean and then turns back on itself with multiple double greens. I also want to have a finishing hole with the road to the right with the town being right across the street. I have a lot of ideas, i'll have to see if I can pull it off I'll post some pictures if I get something started.

Sounds like an excellent idea to me!
