Some real-life photos of North Dakota so you can get an idea of what I was going for: Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the dried-out river valley that inspired the plot: Bully Pulpit: Hawktree: Minot Country Club: Medora Musical:

Really excited for this one...spent a couple weeks at Teddy Roosevelt and Badlands National Parks May 2021. Even made a course on here inspired by the area, The Bull Moose Club!
Best of luck in the competition!

Seeing the pictures did really tie this one more together for me as at first it seemed a bit bare but I get what you were going for now. The holes themselves play well and I enjoyed my round. I’ll be honest the bunker shapes at times got a bit to “shape-y” if that makes sense and it took me a bit out of the naturalism. But that’s a minor. Personal thing to my eyes. Good job terms!

Just played a round here...definitely captured the Medora/badlands golf feel and brought be back to Medora, for sure. I really like the background setting and it truly does look like the actual location.
I do agree with Trailducker about the bunker shapes. Also, having three drivable par-4s (that I was able to reach, at least), and a couple more that are just driver->pitch shots to reach in regulation, might be a little much in that regard (half the par-4s on the course are less than 400 yards on the card).
But the course itself was plenty fun, technically well executed, and really captured North Dakota and Medora very well. Nice work!

Really lovely environment. The waterways are superb. Some spicy greens to keep it interesting and lots of risk/reward, which for me, was mainly risk. Some great wide fairways that I still managed to miss. Really enjoyed it! I had a fly around and found the mower statue sitting proudly outside the clubhouse.

As a resident of the High Plains (granted I have not been to North Dakota, but a resident nonetheless), you nailed the look. I would agree with the bunkers comments above. They have an Australian sand belt look to them. But strategy and hole variation is pretty good. Liked it a lot.

sroel908 firing up Bull Moose was one of the first things I did when I got assigned North Dakota, always been a big fan of that course! I didn't realize you vacationed there, saying it brought you back to Medora is a huge complement, and I really appreciate your comments. trailducker thanks for the play. I think you're pretty much right on about both the bareness (probably could have filled in the planting a little bit) and the bunker shapes, so I appreciate that honesty. sandgroper enjoyed the video as usual. You ended up with a nice score despite missing all those fairways. I liked how you cut away to show the contour of the greens, very cool. PlatypusBrig glad you liked it, and thanks for the feedback!

As a neighbor from up north (Former Winnipegger now in Saskatoon) I have seen all parts of North Dakota and was pumped for this course and love it! That reminds me, I really have to golf sometime in ND.

Ported to 2K23. Greens play a little slick in the new game, but you can handle it. Enjoy!

North Dakota winters are brutal but we aren’t closing for the season just yet. Check out Medora Winter for a fun snowy experience!
