Hi all
I'm starting to consider designing Royal Dornoch (which I designed for Links 2003, a whole year of work at the time).
I did not wanted to start on that one in The Golf Club series given some striking features of the place such as the club-house, hotels and surrounding houses on the first three which can not be reproduced decently in the desigtner But, if I did not go, who will? So, I've give it a try, but this beauty all in length along the north eastern coast of Scotland barely fits into the design frame.
I surely will miss some features as the Embo pier behind the 9th tee, the caravan park below the 16th, Ben Bhraggie monument or the Struie. But the course by itself deserve some try. I just hope I'll give enough justice.

Hey Dom, I'm sure you will give a great version of the course but there are at least two versions of Royal Dornoch in the TGCT course database. One is lidar.

Both are good, but the non-lidar looks better than the other and it also has the new 7th. It would be a nice challenge to get a mix of the two and may be set the expected 8th new tees. Not sure I'm gonna start that soon...
