LiDAR - Kamloops, BC Canada (Error)

Hello,

I'm trying to load the Lidar file using the TGC Golf Tools 0.3.2 software, but I am getting the error message below:

Processing: 5452A.las

Could not find metadata for 5452A.las.

Could not determine lidar projection, please report an issue and send this lidar and metadata

Alternatively, look for something called EPSG Value in Metadata and provide EPSG.

It gave you that message because you didn't enter a EPSG code in Chads. The EPSG you are looking for is 26910. How I got that? There are a few ways to try, Normally you do as I did in this How To that I did How To Use LASTools (LASInfo) to get a EPSG code but that didn't return the needed info, you can try spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/?search=canada&srtext=Search but those didn't work, finally you can do a Google search for "UTM Code Kamloops" and it list it's UTM code as 10U, drop the U, add 269 in front of the 10 (26910), enter 26910 in Chads as the EPSG and bingo.
