-5 third round last night. Started with 8 straight pars after either misreading short putts or landing approaches too far from the pin. I set up a bit of an "Ashes golf" match with two English ghosts and another Aussie. Just the the cricket we beat the poms in combined scores, in this case by 4 shots 😜 Haha! Love it. Just realized, that handle is a Benaud reference right? Man, I miss his commentary. Good times.

Round 1 -6. Seemed to not do too hot at some of the easiest opportunities to score, yet managed to pull off an okay round. Round 2 -3. Snake bitten by the tempo at the back end, literally could not score because I missed everything by narrow margins or was off scrambling. How have I not recorded a single bogey through these first two rounds is beyond me. Once again fighting for my Palmer life at the weekend. Put myself in a spot to have a shot at survival but gonna need something. If my back nine of round 2 is how the rest of the tournament is going to go, I'll have no chance so I hope whenever I shoot my shot, I can score a little better. Also, hello new scheduler (who's totally not at all like the old one)! Can I cheekily ask what would have been the course this week had there not been (a) complaint(s) last week? Or has that course just been pushed further away in favor of this, in which case you don't have to spoil it? Or is this just a massive conspiracy, and this was supposed to be the course all along but we needed a narrative for the sake of some intrigue? Asking out of genuine curiosity, not that I am complaining about this course at all, I think it's awesome. Cheers, and good luck!

The old scheduler was planning something completely different - something short with lots of chances to go for the green on par 4s and a focus on your short game… This: www.tgctours.com/Course/Details/26814But the old scheduler is gone...

Round three was terrible. Bogey on hole four, double bogey on hole six 😠. Only one birdie on the front nine and that was at the par five ninth hole. Two water balls off the tee on the par three fourteenth 😠. Bogeyman and his family had a picnic on me on that hole with a triple bogey six 😠😠. Bogeyman had me again on the next two holes 😠. Managed to get a birdie on the last 😃. Disappointing five over par and sliding down the leaderboard 😞😞.

Round four started off with a birdie 😃. Got to two under par after five holes when the bogeyman made his appearance on the sixth hole 😠. A nice chip in eagle on hole eleven helped me out 😁 until the bogeyman and his wife turned up on hole thirteen 😂😂. Highwayman robbed me of a few birdies 😞😞. Birded the last hole to get to minus six for the tournament and the same score that i had after the first round 😕. Hope i have better luck next week 😁😁. Goodluck everyone.

Round 1: -8 Round 2: -9 Round 3: -6 Round 4: -9 Total: -32
This version of the game and I don’t get along anymore.
Looking for some assistance to deal with that, I talked to the new scheduler. Asked whether long and narrow was his intention for the long term. He laughed at me and murmured something about “humps and bumps, and a fresh sea breeze” and walked away. Just thought I’d share that… 😎

-7 final round yesterday. I think I got to -26 or something for the week. Quite a few missed opportunities out there.

Played pretty well this week and the course seemed to suit my game. Opened with a solid -13 (59) but lost ground to the leaders in round 2 which is always difficult to get back. Hung in there though for what is a good result at the end of the day. Looking forward to next week!
Final scores this week - 59, 65, 59, 60.

Gave it a try. -5, -5 weekend through topsy turvy playing on the course to finish -19. My bogey free run lasted until the 8th of round 3 and took 4 total. Boo (that boo is for me, I suck). Looked for a potential target to avoid demotion and think I might have landed right on it. Was convinced this was the end after getting a little too quick on the swing on the 14th of final round and put it in the drink, then almost did it again but it stood up there, and then chipped in to save the bogey. "Is this how I'm going out", I thought to myself.. ...no, at least not yet. Finished with three birdies and let's live that virtual golf life on knife's edge for another week. At this point, I'm going through so many motions on the course hole by hole that I'm kinda begging to be demoted if this isn't the week, I can't take this! At least for the virtual crowd it might look amusing to see one golfer in constant torment of "hey I'm doing good!" and "curse this course to hell!" Off to next week, waiting for final standings and seeing what my own standing is headed there. Cheers, good luck!

My favourite course and set up this year so far. Really enjoyed that. -32 and still clinging on for dear life, flying the Xbox flag in Nicklaus haha

+3 -5 +1 +7 (damn HB drop rule bs) = +6 total.
Pretty much forcing myself to play this stale, poorly optimized game at this point.
