This week on Kinetic we head to Toozaza by agrainger12. I think this is the first time we have had a course by this designer on this tour and it's always nice to welcome a designer who we have not used before to The Kinetic. Designers that are getting their first course on The Kinetic or on tour at all are so easy to deal with, sadly it goes all down hill after that as it all goes to their head and their egos just grow and grow but we shall worry about that in the future. So I asked Alex, what type course is this, what should I describe in my intro. You do Intros's, he said, that is so cool. Guess who has never read a Kinetic tour intro before, muhahahaha. He continued to tell me that his course is of the Maximalist style and my head dropped, not one of those I thought to myself, not one of those. We have had minimalist courses on tour before, you know that ones, the courses where the designer is just to lazy to make any extra effort into making the course look better but use the excuse of being a artist to cover their laziness, you know the type, pretentious pricks. So now we have a Maximalist designer, who I guess also uses the I am an artist excuse but this time to just fill the course with god knows what because they have no sense of style. I have not played the course, I mean thats what I pay my staff for so I am sure the mindless robots that work for me saw a course full of stuff and thought that was cool. Now I am not sure that is what Maximalist means, it is a big word and I am just not very good with big words but I am sure I can figure it out, it will be like if one waterfall is pretty, lets have 10 to make it even prettier.Why have gentle elevation with gentle slopping hills when we can mountains. Wildlife always brings some breathtaking sights to a golf course, so lets have a @!$#ing zoo. lets have so many colour styles and textures that any one that plays it will have eye issues for years to come. it's to late to change anything now, we just have to deal with it. Designers, what the hell is wrong with them, what goes on in their minds, can't they just build a golf course without being so special.
