Hey all,

I'm looking for a bit of advice. I've got together a plot with Pinehurst no.2 inspiration but I'm struggling with the pine straw / waste area planting.

I've got for a Steppe theme as I want the bunkers to blend in to the sandy base texture which works nicely but by adding pine straw (with the tiny brush method), it just looks really flat.

Does anyone have any tips / experience for planting and creating the ruggedness of a sand hills plot?

Maybe using heavy rough as a brown/yellow color and brushing around your pine straw. I think it’s heavy rough that blends with the steppe/desert dirt in a more “blendy” way. I want to say I saw it in a video that one time.
