Art Vandelay Not much to report here. -5 at the cut which signals another short lived tournament for me. I'm gonna credit my rival Ben for my incredible start this week. Chatting with him on steam after about the turn in round 1, I fired a 1 Humph -10 and -12 to be -22 at the cut! Can't explain how I did it, but it is there. I think I should make the cut (sheepishly happy about that). Onward! We now return you to "The Vandelay Way" of playing TST. -5 and -5 on the weekend. STILL -32 is nuttin to sneeze at for me! Onward!

Nawlins, Mardi Gras! Woooooo! ...wait, this is not... ahem. So, the big question for the bookies this week: will this guy make it 6 weeks in a row of 4 rounders to break his personal best TST streak? Or will he for the third time this season max it out to 5 weeks and then miss the cut? The answer is a resounding 6 weeker! -10, -12 for -22 at the cut. Round 1 was okay, definitely left lots out there both rounds. Highlight was a 40 yarder for eagle on 9 that was perfectly powered and only guessed on where it breaks. Round 2 definitely had lots more to offer too. Highlights include hitting the second shot to 6 feet on 8 for almost tap in eagle en route to a 7 putt front nine. Another was botching up 18th in probably the worst way but still walking away with a birdie after sinking a 47 foot putt utilizing a slope to the left that I just kinda guessed on and let it rip. Just wanted to get close for par, and ended up dead center of the cup. On a not so highlight side of the round, had to massively slow down my usual pace of play because something in the server or my internet connection made it a slow grind, but eventually it quickened up mid round after battling through it a bit. Didn't seem to cause big issues, in fact felt like I played worse after it cleared up! Probably will slow down at the weekend, but let's see how it goes! For some reason it feels like I've found a couple things recently that are pushing me to better scores. Cheers, and good luck.

64 second round, should be good enough to make the cut at -14. Definitely can do better on this course though and I'll be looking for a couple of double figures under par for the weekend rounds.

Almost got there third round, had to settle for a 63 after a chip onto the last green rolled a bit further than intended and I misread the putt coming back. There were other chances for birdies earlier that I obviously missed as well but that was the last chance to get to -10. Oh well, maybe tomorrow I'll finally manage it π

Ever have those moments where you just know it's not your round or day? Round 3 -9. Played okay, hit a par train in the middle that I snapped out of by sinking a 21 footer at the 15th with a foot of downhill with power judged excellently right. After that, I played okay again! Round 4 -2. Eff everything about it. Only thing I blame myself for is a stupid shot shape that caught bushes and then took a super scenic route. From there, just narrow miss after narrow miss, whether with a putter, or tempo, or just the wrong club, or... whatever really. Could have been looking for a good finish had I had any luck at all, but nah. Can't have my ego blob out of control! Oh well. 3 good rounds and then the one that separates me from greatness and keeps me at "good", or "meh" level. -33 to finish. At least currently I can brag about the longest putt on PC by 10 feet, second week in a row where something putting related has been very good for me. Cheers, good luck next week.

Couldn't get to double figures in the last round either, ended up with a 64, although it wasn't helped by a triple bogey on 4 after I got stuck in that stupid right greenside bunker. -31 for the week.

Pretty solid week for me - my swings felt better than they have the last few weeks, 63-65-63-63 (-34) - ranks around t-46th. Great time this week at New South Wales.
I've never heard of next week's course English Turn. I'm not always effective on Jack Nicklaus courses except for Harbour Town which I'm used to. Just looked up the course, I see it's a New Orleans course that was used on the PGA Tour before TPC Louisiana. I'll add it to my list of 1 Louisiana course. LOL
