They announced PGA 2K21 in May 2020, before releasing the game in August of that year. I know they do some odd marketing and such, but they offered some lead time with that game, once 2K got more involved. Who knows what's gonna happen with 2K23... Some of the delay of the new game would have been due to Tiger's car accident and not being able to capture him swinging etc, reactions, etc. They certainly have had time to do that over the past few months. You would think with Tiger playing in the upcoming British Open, this would be a good time to promote the release. However, with the last game announced in May for an August release, it's more than likely this has been pushed to a spring 2023 for an announcement.

The game before that was announced the same week that it was released, so HB still being involved is a real wildcard.

I chipped in a little more and good to see the $12k has been raised.

Game stinks. New game will stink too. I'll still buy it.

Do 2k /HB usually reach out to the community for feedback on the early build, playtesting or anything like that? Just out of interest.
I'm sure they don't; they barely communicate with us... Just wondering.

Just wondering. I was part of a very short 48 hour PC beta testing of TGC2 or TGC2019, I can't remember which one.

Now that I think back, I think some specific streamer/content creator folks were given an early copy of PGA 2K21, and they could provide feedback directly to 2K/HB. But there's not been an open beta or anything like that; at least not as part of the last few game releases.

I would have thought if anyone from outside of HB was consulted they would be subject to a non-disclosure agreement. Unless it was beta testing perhaps ??

Before the release of 2K21, some streamers/content creators were able to show the game off like a week or so before the game actually came out. Things would pop up in their videos, and they would say they would be able to report the issues back to the devs. That's all I remember...I had never heard about betas or anything until that previous comment, but I'm on console, so I would imagine any betas would be PC anyway.

Im curious as to what TGCT does if there is no word before late September. Start up another season knowing that the new game would surely be out soon after the season starts?
