My entry into the 2022 WCoD. Calamity takes inspiration from from the many courses along the Monterey Peninsula, Cypress being the main one. The course weaves its way through towering dunes and old cypress trees before a dramatic coastal finishing stretch...and also 18. Enjoy!

Will I get golf course "vibes" when I play this golf course?

Inspired by golf courses. I feel much better about quoting this course thread! Great job!

Phenomenal course here, Matty. I am sure the coastal holes like 13 and 14 will get plenty of attention but the inland holes like 4 and 8 were really enjoyable and so well done. Very impressive. Best of luck not that this is going to need much of it.

Really, really fun course. Big fan of 13, 17, and 18. You caught the feeling you were looking for with this one!

Loved this - the 18th is an absolute blast of a golf hole that is unconventionality at its best. So many other designers (looks sheepish) would have ended on a coastal par five and the course is so much better for you not doing that. There's a ton of standout holes and think the best compliment I've got for your design work is that the inland holes outshone the coastal ones for me. 6 and 9 were particular favourites, but there's a bunch. Great stuff Marty.
