This was, really, really well done dude, great work.
Tropical is pretty difficult to pull off, and I think you nailed it.

Hey Troy,
Just enjoyed my round at Moana Surf! Kept looking all day for it to show up on Xbox. Played the back tees and pin#3 in medium winds and shot even par. Beautiful course - the planting colors, textures and lighting all work well together. Really has a resort island feel to it and the city in the background looks great. Maybe some bunkers were too high on their high sides. Luckily standing over my 4ft putt on #14 I remembered your Easter eggs. Dude - the Club Med for Squirrels is outstanding! Very creative - I think Gamer will be handing the crown over to you after he sees that. Nice that it can be seen with consoles. Went back to playing and missed the 4 footer. Great work Troy - you are refining your designing skills nicely. Bob
Putting the finishing touches on my tropical course (first fantasy) and should publish early in the week.

Hey retteach , just played a round here...gold tees, pin 3, default conditions. Planting looks really nice and natural - fits the setting very well. Hole 1 - green does not have light rough around it, while the fairway section does...see here: Just looks a bit odd to not have first cut all the way around. Hole 3 - personally, I'm not sure how I feel about this blind tee shot, since the fairway runs away from the player and towards the water - which can't be seen from the tee. Would have liked to have been able to see that water from the tee. Hole 5 - the design here is fine...this is very nitpicky, but the "next tee" sign seems awkward in its location. I think maybe it would be better to be by the bridge, and not just off the putting surface looking like it's pointing into the water...haha. Plus, it's too close to being in play for me, personally. I'm noticing that the cart path kind of comes and goes...and there are some holes where there aren't really any cart paths at all. For example, Hole 15...the cart path picks up after the golfer walks down and up stairs and across a boardwalk on the beach. It's not a huge deal, in terms of playability or anything like that. But it does kind of look a bit off, since the path really doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially when you have the grass paths included here, too. I would just have left the cart paths out altogether. Hole 15's green was maybe a bit too small for a par-3 hole that is over 185 yards long. On Hole 18, the left centerline bunker is not visible at all from the tee. I think the course is nice, and the environment is well done. There were some instances of some sculpting that could have been smoothed out more, but nothing egregious. A couple bunkers I noticed could have had a bit better sculpting, too, but all in all, not too bad. Design concepts here make sense, and there are some holes where you have to think a bit off the tee. Nice work, and thanks for sharing!

Hey Steve.....Thank you for the play through.Your comments are always spot on.I really struggle with bunker sculpting but continue to work on it. I try to keep my greens around the same size but on long threes it can be a problem.Glad you enjoyed your round. Thanks again....Troy

I really love an Island course and this one is a lot of fun. The plot looks really cool i.imgur.com/J8FSrl0.jpg with all the islands. Some deserted and others having pretty decent sized cities on them i.imgur.com/xluyBnc.jpg. Nice clubhouse i.imgur.com/P3TO04P.jpg tucked away in the shadow of the airport i.imgur.com/9fSlsrs.jpgYou may have double tapped the planes i.imgur.com/sJ3Qd3d.jpgA really lovely night lit range i.imgur.com/3Ff5Jy6.jpgHuge fan of Easter eggs and I think the squirrels are underrated in this game. Here they are on the backside of the Island and it looks like they have escaped from their cage i.imgur.com/9fSlsrs.jpgYou can see the boat they washed ashore in i.imgur.com/L7hqxvW.jpg and a typical squirrel message. Their club med at the beach is wonderfully done i.imgur.com/8ZCB1zL.jpgWith them swimming in the pool i.imgur.com/To5nDSH.jpg, swimming at the beach i.imgur.com/zsnHY1H.jpgDrinking at the tiki bar i.imgur.com/Eg09myo.jpg and playing volleyball i.imgur.com/bf6GxRo.jpg with a prickly ball. The other squirrels look like they are siphoning balls i.imgur.com/3E7KFB6.jpg for their ball stealing racket. Anyway onto the golf... Nice transition shot on 1 i.imgur.com/DoBJA1j.jpg with the 18th green in the background. I really like the hole markers i.imgur.com/kZUnMdJ.jpg with a lot of work gone into them, but you don't get to see them during play. It's a great sightline down the first with the beach and the city just off to the right. My round got off to a shocking start with a horrible red slow out of the gates and nearly sticking it in the water, but I managed to scramble for a par. The 4th was a real 3 shotter into a decent headwind. I thought the drivable par 4 5th had a sense of danger when I had to aim at the water with the right to left wind. The transition to 6 looked great with the bridge and the 5th green behind. A great little par 3 with some nice planting and the rock work on the shore. Another great transition on the 10th tee with the clubhouse behind. I liked the sightline off the 10th tee as well with the city in the background yet slightly hidden by the trees. The 11th was another 3 shot par 5 into a decent wind. The waste creek area on 13 was a nice change from using bunkers. I'm glad I avoided it though. Coming into play again on 14. I nearly got it to roll across the bridge. I had the breeze at my back for the 16th and cleared the centreline hazard, but them also the green with my approach. Scrambled for par on 18 and really enjoyed my round. Tropical theme bunkers are the trickiest because of the pronounced band on them and there were a couple out there that could have done with some additional smoothing and sculpting but it didn't detract from the round.

Again, really enjoyed my round here! loved the environment as always and is definitely a challenging course but fair. My only critique is that some of the bunkers could use some fixing and smoothed out a bit, for example the right fairway bunker on #8. Other than that, great course!

Moana Surf has been upgraded and ported over to 2K23. Changes made: 1,2,3,and 4 have fairway and bunker sculpting changes. Hole 8 - moved tee right and shortened hole. Hole 12 sculpting to the left of the green to accept more shots. Hole 13 - added a bunker and widened fairway. Removed some trees to help lighting issues. Enjoy your rounds at Moana surf.

Just played 2 rounds at Moana Beach, one was not enough. Loved the course Troy. Favourite hole is probably the par 5 11th. A good drive and the second shot was right on 260 yards for me. Perfect for the 3 wood, if you hit it well, and the wind isn't into your face π. Either way, choices to be made. Great effort mate ππΌ.
