This week we have a brutally hard Dream Team course by whodatmatt34 , Our resident Texan Matt, so I thought the course fit the event name pretty well! He had an equally brutal course on plat earlier this year known as Bayou Bon Temps. This course has teeth, as well as a rugged beauty, The 14th hole won an award for the best par 5 in the whole contest, featuring a monstrous hazard on the second shot mirroring "Tillinghast’s Great Hazard" design of a 3-shot par 5 (featured on Hole 7 at Pine Valley, otherwise affectionately known as Hell's Half Acre). Like its inspirations, this course is relentless in its difficulty and I expect it to be one of the harder tests Plat has seen recently. After this week we are heading down to a Southern State known for Peaches to a course that may remind you of something, but I assure you it is a different course. The first Plat Major of the year won't be crazy challenging and will play easier than this week, but won't be the easiest either, more of a tribute to that certain course than anything. Enjoy!

Hello.
No man's land for me hopefully this week as I blew my first round with bad tempo. -5 -8 -8 -11 for a -32 total obviously ends my streak of scores in the -40s, but such a low total wasn't to be expected anyway for me on this setup.
Cheers and good luck all!

Still here... And same for me: course and conditions above my paygrade but think I have done enough to avoid red thingies. Scared for next week...

After an awful performance last week, I return to business as usual, missing the cut and sitting nicely between the cut line and where the 1st demo mark will be.
I actually enjoy these courses and conditions much more than the flat track, shoot sub 55 to be competitive nonsense that has been the trend over the last few weeks. Hit -8 Rd 1 and played really well but then blew it rd 2 with two moments that just define my season and troubles each week. I missed a 6 footer for birdie on 9 and 3 putt bogeyed 15. Had I not done so I'd be sat at -16 looking forward to the weekend. As it is, I'm thinking what could have been and hoping for better luck next week (sigh).

After two weeks cooking in Elite it’s nice to be back.
Rd1 -8 and cooking on gas -13 rd2. Sets me up nicely for the second half.
Good luck

After a practice round that confirmed I was going to struggle, I promptly got it to -11 after 17 then bogie on 18 but still happy. Rd2 I simply didn't allow enough in the very high winds and ended up having plenty of chips and long putts.....and I couldn't chip in for nuts this week.....-3 and -13 at the cut. Still didn't hole a chip in Rd's 3 and 4.....just not happening!!

Not my best week for sure, missed it by a few shots, but at least I didn't get a demotion mark. Always gotta look at the positive. Plus I'll still be here for the major!

Plat: 50 Trent: 1 This was the type of course I love. No hazards a grey miss away. Fairways gave you options off the tee and offered some really advantageous spots to leave the ball but at the same time had some added risks to hit it there. Greens were challenging without having every pin be ridiculous. Even the tough pins usually offered you a creative way to attack it without the hit this exact square method of design that's so popular. Well done whodatmatt34
