Was pleased with my driving but may go for a longer driver to be able to reach some of the greens easier. Putting needs improvement as well. raced a few past the hole causing some 3 putts. Early days in my TGC career and hopefully R2 can be better. Round 2 was better, but not good enough, was -1 playing 7th then some poor shots led to a double, followed by a bogey and a birdie to be +1 after 9, back 9 i needed to go low, although not low enough was fairly pleased with a -1, and it was just the putting to let me down, this was 1st time i played on greens with any speed so blasted a few putts well past the holes. Enjoyed my 1st tourney even though it is looking like i will get the weekend off Time to hit the putting green for some practise

Hole Outs = 11.6yds (R3)Ace = Albatross = Eagle = 1 Birdie = 23Pars = 37Bogeys = 8Double Bogey = 1 Triple Bogey+ = Review Round 1Started with 2 birdies, and continued my improvement to shoot a career (i know its only 3rd round on tour) low -7, starting to use the shape shot sliders a bit more and had a few approach shots finish at tap in length. Still not brilliant at the putting but was much improved over last week, i think i may have only raced 2 putts past in this round. Have given myself a great chance of making the cut and earning some much needed $$ Round 2Opened up with a bogey but was able to quickly settle any nerves with 2 birdies and my 1st EAGLE on the next 3 holes. Finished the front 9 with 2 birdies and then made it 5 in a row with birdies at 10, 11, 12, another birdie at 15 got me to -9 for the round and -16 for the event ...safely in for the weekend and who knows maybe a top 20 finish is there for the taking Round 3DISASTERI wasn't ready to play but after hitting advance i found myself on the tee for R3... (not sure if i can quit back to main page)Started with a bogey at 1, 4, 5 and 9 with a solitary birdie at 6. Front 9 +3. Got back on track a bit on back 9 with 3 birdies in a row from 10th to 12th got me back to level for the round, but a poor bogey on 14 and a shocking d/bogey 7 on 15th put me back to +3 for the round, birdies at 16 and 17 helped steady the ship but all in all a disappointing round which will surely drop me outside the top 30. 42% fairways and 66% greens was never going to make for a good score.. Round 4Felt like a struggle for the whole round, was red fast off almost every tee and then slow on most approach shots so getting near the pins was almost impossible and when the greens are this sloped you need to be near to score. Steady front 9 with 2 birdies and 7 pars then a Bogey on the par 5 12th and a birdie on the par 5 16th left me at -17 for the event. I cant be too disappointed with this but loads more work to do on the range to find a swing that works a bit better or is at least consistent. At least i have removed my demotion arrow from last week.

Oceanic Airlines OpenCC-L TOURNAMENT STATS: Final Position = T12th Score = -15 Earnings = $18,920Round 1 (+2) Round 2 (-9) Round 3 (-7) Round 4 (-1)

Another struggle on the greens...Oh for a flat spot near the pins to aim at ... 3 Bogey's on the front 9 and the round was gone, another on 10 and i was +4 and the cut seems a mile away, i did rally slightly with birdies at 15 and 16 to be +2 after 1st round which looks to be 1 outside the cut line, work to be done in R2 Round 2
WOW......... No idea where that came from. After a bogey at hole #2 put me back to +3 for the event i feared the worst, however i then inexplicably went on a hot streak. Birdies at 3,4,5,7,8,9,10,14,16 and 18 moved me well inside the cut and into the top 15 at -7. Safely here for the weekend, my practice is starting to show dividends. Round 3
My first bogey free round on tour . Pars at 1 and 2 were followed by a spectacular driver off the deck on the par 5 3rd which rolled up to 7 feet, putt holed for eagle and -2 (-9). a birdie on 5 had me at -3 for the round at the turn...looks like my chart is working. Another birdie came at 10 and then i drove the green on the short par 4 15th albeit a long way from the pin, a 2 putt gave me birdie number 3 for the day. Finished off the round nicely with birdies at 17 and 18 for a -7 round and -14 for the tournament which as it stands is T11th. Round 4Was unable to carry on my good play in R4 (choked i think is the word). Bogeys at 1, 11, 13 and birdies at 4, 8, 10, 18 left me at -1 for the round and -15 for the event. Highlight of the round was a winding 34.5ft putt for birdie on 4. Overall happy with the performance, however i missed plenty of putts within 6/7 ft due to the severe breaks and not allowing enough...more putting tutorials needed. I cant seem to do the bead counting so i play by eye on all putts , i need to come up with a method that helps me. Bizarrely all my puts seem to have left to right slopes, don't think i have seen a right to left yet

Birdies at 10,11,13,14,15 and 17 saw me finish with my first double digit under par round of -10. Although delighted with this i had given myself 4 good eagle chances in the round included a 10ft putt at the short 15th, all this putts just skimmed the holes , so i could have been a lot better. Early days yet but at present in a tie for 7th and 4 strokes back....i fear this was the easy conditions day, although the greens were tough if you didn't hit your distances. Should also mention i changed Driver and now use the longer Maverick and hit almost all fairways which in turn allowed me to 100% GIR Round 2Played Ok again in this round , but still not enough shots close to the holes for a better score. I did however go 1 stroke lower than R1 and easily made the cut. So birdies at 3, 5 and 7 and an Eagle on 9 saw me out in 32, 4 in a row then followed this and i was -9 for the round. Played the Par 5 14th with a good drive, Ok second shot that left a 40 yard splash with a lob wedge , unfortunately i forgot to take it off pitch and consequently flew the green, was able to up and down to save my par but felt like it was a definite shot dropped. Missed the eagle putt again on the short par 4 , but tap in birdie there and another birdie on 17 was enough for a -11 and -21 overall, currently in a tie for 9th Round 3Another slow start with just 1 birdie in the first 7 holes, 6 birdies in a row around the turn certainly helped my score and birdies at 14 and 17 gave me another bogey free round and a -9..however i think i was fortunate to stay bogey free as on the short par 4 15th i hooked my tee shot into all kinds of rubbish and eventually needed a chip in to save par. -30 for the event with 18 holes to play (34 strokes behind the person leading the online event ) Round 4
Choked it, went into the round late and was sitting just outside top 20 before i teed off and had a great chance of a top 10. It was not to be, i couldn't get anything near the hole on approach so i always seemed to be 2 putting for pars. I did manage to birdie holes 3,4,15,16 and a chip in on 18 for a disappointing round of 67. This gave me a total of -35 for the event and just outside the the top 10. On a positive note i did end up bogey free for the 72 holes..which was nice.
