Re-introducing Linda Del Mar (The lost Alister MacKenzie course). Originally opened in 1929 in the Golden Age of Architecture, but quickly fell on hard times soon after. The course went into disrepair and many changes were made to the golf course in that time, leaving the property in a state that was unrecognizable to what MacKenzie had intended. In 2015 a long lost original routing plan (see below) was discovered deep in the basement of the clubhouse, which led to the a rebuild of the course to it's original design and beauty. The course is modeled after his masterpieces in the San Francisco area, Pasatiempo, Valley Club at Monticeto, Sharp Park, and California Club (re-bunkering project). The idea of the club during rebuilding was too open sightlines and keep a minimal looking atmosphere on the property, too what Mackenzie believed was intended. The course plays close to the ocean, but no holes were routed along this part of the property, it plays around some lakes and a stream running on the back side of the property. My hope is that you enjoy the course as much as I enjoyed rebuilding a MacKenzie style golf course. The course has 3 sets of tees. Please play the BLACK tees (7310 yds), as this is what the original routing was designed to be. The GOLD tees were added for a Championship alternative. Enjoy some pics of the course

Nicely done. Enjoyed all 18 but 8 and 10 were my favorites. Loved the stream work. Really natural look. Clever use of the light rough as heavy rough or at least that’s what I think you did. Good luck on the contest.

Played this last night, and it's really great. Feels like a course that actually exists, and totally has the Alister MacKenzie feel. Great work!

Awesome stuff here Scott. Loved the openness and the planted areas were stunning as ever. Holes 8 and 12 were two of my favourites but there was so much good stuff here. So good man!

Awesome stuff, love the open sightlines, and your planting and bunkering is top notch, especially considering there's not a massive amount of planting. Lots of really fun holes, I think hole 3 is my favourite.
Really enjoyed this course, nice one.

Finally got time to play this last night. It's what we've come to expect from you, so real great golf in a real immersive enviornment. Definitely hit the MacKenzie vibe. I really enjoyed the windy Par 5's you had here, all had a common vernacular but didn't all ask the same question. Done real well. Good luck!

Great looking plot leading out to the ocean i.imgur.com/oyerTTD.jpgFancy clubhouse i.imgur.com/kcobFsX.jpgReally nicely laid out course and I enjoyed my round. I struggled up the 7th without hitting the fairway for a bogey. Hit a ripper into the monstrous 11th. Really liked the meandering creek on 12. Of course the only time the water is on the right I hit a red slow on the 16th. Nightmare shot into 17 was back to back bogies. Huge par 4 to finish, I really enjoyed it out there.
