This weeks sees the return of jcollick to the Kinetic. Not many of you know this but Justin has two loves in his life, golf course design and farming which is why all his courses are based around his own farm, this allows him to share his love to all that visit. While he is pretty good at course design, he is a terrible farmer. In our first visit here we played Hidden Hen and guess what, that hen has still not been found, so any one hoping for eggs for breakfast, your are right out of luck. This week we are playing Old Onion, and that is something I do not recommend having for breakfast as there are no way enough bathrooms on the course for those that dare to take part in that at any stage over the four days. To be honest, this could be the last time we use a course by Justin here on the Kinetic, I have seen the plans for his future courses here but if any of you want to play at Knobweed Marsh, Bulls Milk Acres or Morning Wood Stables, then maybe we will change that plan but for now, have fun and good luck at Old Onion.

Great write up. And a spectacular course. The textures fit in perfectly with the terrain.

Cut it close but made it through! -25 at the cut, -13, -12. Was on my way to possibly the round of my life in round 1, then everything slowed to a halt for the last 4 holes. After hitting the ball well and putting extremely well, felt like everything disappeared out of nowhere. Round 2 very similar story, tempo was garbage on hole 16 because I hit none of the shots right. Thank god I picked the right club to red fast a pitch with since I luckily snuck it to 5 feet and escaped with par and possibly saved myself. Had the scariest 3 yard chip I've ever seen on 18 to put me to my cut score, thank goodness I made that because that is something I don't know what to do with at all. No idea where my uptick of form as of late has come from, but last 7 rounds of Kinetic I've played I have a steady average of -13 per round. Still in for a chance this week since I'm not far off at all. Happy to survive to the cut despite the endings of both rounds having a good chance to knock me out. Cheers and good luck!

-8 round 3. Slow start really hurting momentum early on. Proximity also killing me, 30+ feet on average isn't very good. Definitely doesn't increase chances of scoring, so how I got to 8 under is a bit of a mystery. And as if I haven't seen this score enough lately, how about a -13 finisher? Was actually looking like I might be able to put up the impossible comeback effort as I was going really strong through the front nine, seemed like I got a really good stretch of good approaches and putter not missing a thing from any distance for a while. Then slowed down towards the end but definitely made me feel better after the previous round. I don't know, without that round 3 I maaaaay have had a shot for a promo mark, or maybe the magical 2 that I still needed. Can't get off to slow starts, but good news is I survived without bogeys and I have now hit 2 events in a row without them. Definitely feel like something's changed for the better, so I've got a good feeling going on right now. Cheers, good luck!
