Dear TST enthusiasts,
While the top 16 in the FedEX standings play their matchplay thing, all other TST players get a chance to compete in the Austin Open! We play a beautiful RCR of the Austin Country Club. Greens are firm and fast but run smooth and the course is a joy to play.
AND... there is no cut this week, so you all get a chance to play four rounds and score some serious FedEX points to increase your chances to get into the top 125 before we arrive at the playoffs at the end of the season.
Good luck and have fun! Frans
PS PLEASE NOTE: while there may not be a cut, you still have to complete your first two rounds by the midweek deadline!

Round 1 and already trailing my nemesis Art "Golden Arse" Vandelay Art Vandelay. Chipped in on the 18th to drag my round under par but well chuffed making a 39 foot putt earlier in the round. More luck than judgement but I'll take it!! -1 is not a great start but I'm still quietly confident of making the cut this week Absolutely love this course. A masterpiece from Jeff hoosierhoops24

Hate this course fransslabak DO NOT EVER SCHEDULE IT AGAIN, thank you. I know Austin CC by Pete Dye is a very tough course and the hdcp is over 75 but I love it. It's one of his quirkier courses, every fairway shot is influenced heavily by the camber and there's out of bounds everywhere but it's easy to tell the massive slopes of several greens. Looked stellar last year on the broadcast. I played Austin last year in some TGC tourney, and realized it's worth a practice round to get familiar with it. It bites strangers hard.

Well Art Vandelay I could have given you a run for your money over 2 rounds this week BUT! I think you can see where I went wrong from the scorecard below. 10 under for 17 holes, 7 over on 1 hole!! FML!!

Ha ha bless you buddy, my post was more tongue and cheek out of frustration of how the game in rds 1&2, playing live turn-based, in a party, with random % swings, dodgy tempo, and it was posted to see if the game was listening turns out it was in rd3 with the game playing nicely. There is nothing wrong with the course, its the idiot holding the controller thats the issue , plus I have to moan at fransslabak every now and then to keep him on his toes

Had a few mishaps along the way

SkyBlueBen , did you dunk your ball into the water at the front on 4? I did it twice for a quad! Art Vandelay , what do we call that in your golfing language? btw SkyBlueBen , your card resembled mine. x6 birdies, x2 eagles, x1 bogey and a QUAD!

I spent a lot of time over the 4 rounds in some kind of ravine with water and bushes. My own fault. Snatched the tempo. Love the course but always seem to get myself into bother on it!!

Agree it's a great course. Keen to see it on TV this coming week. Appears to have a lot of undulations large and small.
