Dear TST enthusiasts, This week, I could have taken you to yet another HB official course with dysfunctional overheads, retaining walls through which you can hit balls and holes filled with concrete. I won't... Instead, we are playing Seminole Golf Club - a brilliant RCR of another top Florida course. The GreensKeeper and I discussed matters and decided that relieving you from the burden of having to play an HB official course is more than enough assistance for you low-scoring monsters...ย Therefore, this week's greens show no mercy and despite a shower on day 2 softening them a bit temporarily, Seminole will not be a pushover. We are fully aware of the fact that some of the pins are devilish. Our advice: hit it close to minimise the breaks on putts...ย Good luck and have fun, Frans

Round 1 was maybe my best TST this season, -12 featuring an outward 29 with TWO iggles!
Round 2 was a challenge to just get back under par after that same outward half was +1 with a Humph-Double Humph combo in the middle. Clean inward got the round to -3.
-15 at the cut, will it be enough?
Waiting patiently.
Onward!

Them there greens are brutal missed a 4ft'r with 3 cups of break , lighting in rd1 found it to be on the dark side , however I enjoyed the course. 1 Bogey in each rd, apart from that played well, squeeked round to -30. Over to you gavlaar124 _ Good luck all, play well.

Decided to finish up this week despite being unlikely to make the cut because I like the course, I need the practice and it gives my tormentor Art Vandelay even more opportunities to feel smug!! Managed to improve my score by 1 stroke over 36 holes. Not sure it was worth the effort

Opened with a -9 this week, which was helped by an albatross on the second par 5 on the back. Didn't have too much trouble with the green speed although tricked by a couple that looked like they'd break but didn't.

Good thing I had a sneaky suspicion about something for some odd reason before starting this week... Wouldn't have expected "fast" greens to be 187s if I hadn't gone and checked beforehand! Did a practice round of round 1 conditions, got to hole 3 and while taking quick notes, as I spotted the green, I put " " as I saw a green that looks like the stage for a medieval bloodbath with almost all red or orange. Somehow put up an insano shot to sneak it close for eagle and was thinking to myself "if I can replicate THAT in the actual round..." Putting up -13 in practice = not bad, let's go. Did about the same in the actual and sure enough, eagle on hole 3 from a sweet chip in. Started 5 under through 4 and damn it felt good. Then slowed down, ended up putting 7 under at the front, 4 at the back for -11. Cool! Didn't pay much attention to stats yet but went to check scorecards on the board and... 18 putts in round 1? 7 in that first 9? What the heck? Another practice round. Tougher round but put up 1 better than practice for -7. Should have probably went this route much quicker if this is how I'm doing at these tough setups now... -18 at the cut and I am currently at heights that are putting up a nosebleed, after struggling immensely lately. Either today was a good day of virtual golf, or I might have found something again. Let's see if I can somehow keep this up and if I could somehow try and catch my 2nd TST top 25 and maybe even have a shot at my best ever finish. Not counting on it but I'm feeling somewhat good about the state of my game again so I might as well try to put up the best fight I can. On another note, went disc golfing for the first time yesterday afternoon at my local course. I am no longer just a virtual poser, I now have actual experience too, maybe only 18 holes and not this kind of golf, but still. As an experience, had a blast. Can tell ya that dusk lighting in reality is much cooler than in game. Anyways, cheers and good luck.

First week playing True Sim and currently right on the cut line (Kinetic otherwise). Bad double on I think 14? The par five with the back pin. That pin was just diabolical and had about an 8 yard chip for eagle that ran all the way down to the front, and four putts later....
Biggest issue right now is that I can't see the aim point, which isn't a big deal on most shots, but I can't tell on, let's say splashes, if I'm 15 yards out, on Kinetic the game might automatically set me up at 16 yards (my lob wedge goes 23 yards max), and I can manipulate it from there. On TS, does it roughly do the same thing, or does it automatically set you at your max? I can tell putting basically works the same way, but not sure on splashes and pitches.

-8 second round. No albatrosses this time around but did make an eagle on the 9th. A few misjudged approaches but overall not too bad.
