I wish to make back ups of my unpublished course at various stages of completion in case I need to go back to a previous saved version. Where do I locate the directory where the course in located.
I have tried to locate the file by searching the hard drive by "date/time" file amended using [windows key]+E to no avail. Can anyone assist please?

C:\Users\[your windows user name]\AppData\LocalLow\2K\PGA TOUR 2K21\Courses
The AppData folder is hidden by default which is why you cannot search for the files.

Thanks Patrick for the prompt reply. Incidentally, if I want to send it to a private club member to test prior to publication, is it possible for him to insert it into the respective course folder on his hard drive in order to play it?

This is exactly how all course collaborations are created. Sharing the file back and forth and designers taking turns working on the file, before saving and sending the file back via email or discord.

C:\Users\[your windows user name]\AppData\LocalLow\2K\PGA TOUR 2K21\Courses The AppData folder is hidden by default which is why you cannot search for the files. Actually you can tick the box next hidden items in the view tab of the file explorer and all your hidden folders and files can be seen listed. Though you still cannot search for hidden items with the search facility, you just have to learn your route to the folders you want to see.

My App data folder is just empty, I'm on win11 and just bought the game from steam. The game saves created courses but can't be found on my pc, I've tried the things listed in this thread.
Edit:I'm playing TGC 2019

Yes! There it was, all hidden. Thanks a lot! Just curious have you brought TGC2019 for Lidar Designing, The Courses are much better in 2k21 or 2k23 games i feel.

Yes, what I know Chad's tool doesn't work with 2k21 or 23. I have all of these on xbox one and been designing a specific imaginary course on real property for about a year now, I'm really curiose if it's doable with real data . I just want to learn how to work with lidar and Chad's tool. Against my expectations( I'm middle-aged with not much pc experience for the past 15-20 years), I got it all together late last night and it actually worked just fine. The only problem might be that I have a too narrow area to work with, about 1/4 of the actual area in the game. At least it looks weird to me. As I said I suck at working with computers etc, I'm sorry I really don't get how this quoting thing works😅 but this is a reply to you yeltzman

All the best with it i thought it might be with lidar designing hope it goes well for you.
You can create a Bigger Plot with Lidar than the normal size the game gives you, I am like yourself mid 50s and really not much idea with pc's,just got the new xbox series x and its really surprising how much quicker everything loads in pga2k23 on that.
