Week 2 of easier conditions. TPC Sawgrass is one of the few courses included in the game that can be semi-difficult with higher winds due to the need for shaping, but the greens still pose only a mild threat for plat players even when they're on 187s (except for the impossible pin positions that make them unschedulable). When TPC Sawgrass was first built and conceived by Pete Dye, the course was ridiculously hard before being gradually reworked and neutered over the years. "It's Star Wars Golf... Designed by Darth Vader" was said by Ben Crenshaw of "Coore and Crenshaw" fame ( designed such courses as Sheep Ranch, Kapalua Plantation, Friar's Head, and Cabot Cliffs) Despite hard-ish conditions last year Sloaner won this week quite handily with a -61 on master's swing so I can only imagine we are in store for another -70 number to contend. After this week we have a fairly hard course and then WGC week looms after splitting the field. For those of you that prefer Harder or Easier settings I think I'll make a point of highlighting upcoming weeks here so you can know what to expect!

As if taking the stroke limit on the par 3 17th wasn't enough, this happens after my approach on 18 caught the slope and rolled back, stopping against the wood beam. lol.

For those of you that prefer Harder or Easier settings I think I'll make a point of highlighting upcoming weeks here so you can know what to expect! That's a great idea! Thanks! I will make a cut! And I just checked: It'll be my first one since November 2021. A stellar first round followed by three solid ones is good for a -48 total score (-27 at the cut). Thus, I will enjoy myself watching the leaderboard for the rest of the week. Cheers and good luck all!
