Week 23 - The King Invitational @ Kingsley Club 2022

Ah yes, helping slopes, short par 5s, large landing zones, hardly feels like plat this week! 
We arrive at another breather week here on plat where the goal here is just to have you guys play what I consider to be a excellent recreation of a real life course that's just incredibly fun from start to finish, with one of the wildest short 4s IRL that I've ever seen on the back 9. Meticulously recreated by theclv24 , who is the undisputed best in the business when it comes to recreating real courses (he brought us Winged Foot earlier this year as well!).



Kingsley Club is a Michigan gem that is consistently rated as one of the best golf courses in the country and it still plays quite phenomenally in this game!

Have fun out there, I fully expect the cut to near the -30 mark, and rumors of -74 or higher to even win show that this is indeed the easiest event of the year.

After leaving 3 shots back at my feet on the 1st trying to get up the front green slope (mountain!!), then missing the target by 6 inches left on the 2nd and ending up bunkered, was I having fun???
+4 after 2 holes but put my head down and -22 at the cut so just a case of how many red marks this week.
Finished off with 3 x -13's and it was kind of a fun course albeit for some of those "no moving pips putts" that break about 6-8 inches.......

Back in Platinum after a bit of an extended stay in Elite and this is the first week I get? Yikes. Was on track in R1 for a cut at 55, but the 59 in R2 probably means I miss by a shot or two. 3 or 4 too many putts in R2 with only burnt edges to show for my efforts. Oh well, my game overall is better than last time I was in Plat, so we'll see if I can stick around longer.

The Happy Tee Friends are looking for players!

We are a friendly group of pixel golfers enjoying team based competition in good atmosphere. Teams of 4 (or 6) players are put together by means of a draft, so there's no need to have a complete team to be able to join! Season 8 will start in two weeks, and at currently 54 participants, we need YOU to further expand our roster!

Requirements:
- Be a member of one of the TGCT Pro Tours (Kinetic, Elite, Platinum)
- Play the weekly Challenge Circuit tournaments (= 4 extra rounds per week)
- Report your scores on Discord or in the forum

Played okay but I cannot putt: -28 and a missed cut.

But who cares, enjoyed playing this great RCR.

That course really is a beauty! Who cares about low scores when such marvellous courses are dished.

Apart from that, I cruised to a -28 as well. Will miss the cut, but that's fine as long as I stay demo-mark-free.

Well after 53 Plat events and 15 months in Plat.
It has eventually caught up with me.
Tbh I don’t get so much time to play anymore.
But in all honesty you guys play on another level. I tip my hat.
My goal was to break the top 100 and stay within this top tier as long as possible. 108 was the best I could mount.

It’s been tough but fun.
