Dear TST enthusiasts,
This week it's time for the... errr... Puerto Rico Open?? Don't ask why this is the name for our tournament this week... long story. BUT... like the top dogs in the IRL PGA Tour, we ARE playing Bay Hill Club & Lodge! The weather is lovely, bit of wind, but lots of sunshine that dry out and firm up fairways and greens as we move into the weekend.
Best of luck and have fun, Frans

You are going to need a new rival Art Art Vandelay this week. I started this first thing and couldn't hit a cow's arse with a bango so walked away and came back to it. Memories of when I first started TST!! Still, at least I don't have to play Rounds 3 and 4 this week!! Onward!!!

Round 1 >> low wind >> -7 Round 2 >> high wind >> -13
Infuriatingβ¦
When will I learn not to schedule some low wind rounds to appease you lot and simply schedule high winds for all roundsβ¦

I can't remember what I shot first round, -4 or -5 I think. Didn't end up in any water at least.

Memories of when I first started TST!! Still, at least I don't have to play Rounds 3 and 4 this week!! Onward!!! Nope, sorry Ben but that is NOT how this rivalry works. Gonna take you on even if you are not willing! Round 1 looked like a race to the bar as I was +3 through 3 (missed a gimme on 1 and took two dives on 3), but that chaotic front saw The Vandelay Way rally back to level at the turn. Back nine was steadier, no Humphs to go with two chirps and an Iggle. -4 for the round. Round 2 was much more in control. Clean outward with three chirps, one Humph inward but some chirps and another Iggle on 16. -8 for the round and -12 at the cut. Will I be around for the weekend? Not gonna say as I was wrong the last two events. Onward!

-5 second round sitting -9 at the cut. No bogeys just couldn't quite pick the putt lines properly.

Was in a gawlfing mood, feel pretty good about making the cut, so I had at it. Results? Not much. -3 and -4 for a pedestrian -19. But beat my rival SkyBlueBen! Onward!

Just a shame we have a setup here that -19 is considered pedestrian. Doesn't feel like sim golf at all. When birdies actually feel like birdies the game is so much more enjoyable.

You could just try being really bad at the game like me And that is the other complaint. Why is there only one flight? Obvious that people like no grids but one measly flight only makes the lower end of the leaderboard a frustration to make the cut. 2 flights would not only hold participation it would increase it.

Best of luck and have fun, Frans I love that we play the same courses as the pro's each week. I am only in CC-E but loving the TST. Both for difficulty and also learning the courses ! My first round I went out shooting 43 (in the water twice for a 9 on the par 5). But then had 3 birdies and an eagle on the back 9 to finish my round at +2. Probably won't make the cut but loving this tour and will make more of an effort to get the rounds in each week I also like that there is a conversation/thread on this tour as I talk to myself in the CC-E thread haha

Only managed a -2 in the final round but I wasn't really concentrating on it either after getting a round in today. I've had this week off work so far due to flooding, and a local course reopened today (not my home course) so I played in their comp just to get a round in while I had the chance. More rain potentially on the way now π on the plus side I've dropped my handicap by 4 since Jan 1. Anyway off topic π
Also finished up at -19. Just gonna muck around in the other tours til Sunday morning since I missed the cut in Elite this week.
