Inaects. Does anyone use them? How to use them best? Are there any courses that use these assets well? Will anyone ever notice them? I couldn't find any discussion about insects here so I thought i'd start one.
I've just used butterflies and dragonflies on my latest course and while the butterflies might be noticeable and add to the ambiance or something, I just doubt that anyone would ever notice or care about the dragonflies.

I just use kanga’s but that’s an Aussie thing. Can’t say I’ve ever bothered with insects, but I have seen them used around the garbage bins.

Yeah the roos are pretty good, I'd love to have some that are more grey and less red, and some that are lying down in the grass like most of them do on a golf course, but that's asking quite a lot! I've put some cows in my new course but you can only really see them in the medium distance when you're whizzing forward after hitting the scout cam button so I'm almost certainly wasting my time with that one. The kangaroo in the crowd on your race track course was cool.

Yea I worked on the transitions with that course. So when the camera was at 45 degrees in front of the golfer showing behind I wanted there to be something of interest in the field of view. I specifically left a gap in the crowd so he could be there. I didn’t actually realise how big they are compared to people, they certainly are giant reds!
there are a couple of other around the track as well.
