We enter week 22 with some fresh faces after the promo tournament. This week we are hosting another wonderful course from the recently run rookie contest, this time sporting an Australian theme, and another fun name. damay6977 who brings us this gem is hosting his first plat tourney with this course!  This will be the last harder course for a bit, doing a bit of an experiment again with easier courses the next two weeks, so enjoy this week's challenge (especially round 4  ) |

Hello.
After 5 weeks in Elite, I can definitely be considered a fresh face. My time in Elite acted on my pixel golfer like a wellness and spa treatment, and he feels so refreshed that even the toughest conditions shouldn't have any effect on his mood.

I'm back...  Won the promo event and scored three green thingies in two weeks in Elite to make absolutely, positively sure to get back here in time for the easier courses and conditions!!  This week was like the good old times - played well tee to green and threw away many, many shots on the greens, especially in round 2. -19 halfway and probably a missed cut... look forward to next week! I'm back...  Won the promo event and scored three green thingies in two weeks in Elite to make absolutely, positively sure to get back here in time for the easier courses and conditions!!  This week was like the good old times - played well tee to green and threw away many, many shots on the greens, especially in round 2. -19 halfway and probably a missed cut... look forward to next week! Frans Aye, could not sink a putt.....finally rolled a few in in Rd3 but too late by then. -17 at the cut should avoid a red mark....just!! |

Anybody have any thoughts on why this ball doesn't come down? Very firm 187s, 12ft putt down 6in...am I just stupid or something?

Anybody have any thoughts on why this ball doesn't come down? Very firm 187s, 12ft putt down 6in...am I just stupid or something? Its just the game being a bastard. I bet if the pin was at the back of the green, the ball would've rolled back off the front of the green....happens to me all the time on these precarious greens. Interested to hear how you went with the putt. Seriously, I think it has something to do with the ball coming to a dead stop straight up the hill like yours did. If it had any sideways roll, it may have kept moving and caught the slope. Looks like a pretty solid red slope, nothing marginally orange about it. Very unlucky!! |

My biggest bug bear still in a game littered with flaws that the developers walked away from a long time ago. My biggest rage moments is when I look to hit a shot specifically to use the contours on a green, see the ball begin to roll down a slope and then stop on a red slope section leaving a crazy downhiiler that instead should have been a 3/ 4 foot tap in. |

Another MC for me this week sat -17. I really felt I missed a trick around a course that I felt didn't offer too many challenges. I let myself down with the putter unfortunately not making enough makeable birdie chances.
Concerned that this is going to get 'easier' and especially when the halfway leader sat -33 this week! I dread to think what the scores and cut line will look like in the coming weeks.
