Dear TST enthusiasts,
Florida, here we come! This week, the IRL PGA Tour visits PGA National (Champion) in Palm Beach Gardens, and so do we; we play a lovely RCR of the same course. This time, I even managed to convince the Greenskeeper to water the greens on the final day, which softens them, but they're still very fast.
Have fun and good luck, Frans

Beat the Tough Guy to the tee this week and happy with the results even if IMO it will miss the cut comfortably. But I'll hang around, maybe shoot 3 & 4 regardless. -7, -5 for -12 after 36. Onward!

I wouldn't leave for next week's event just yet I have a feeling you'll be playing the weekend with that score!

Thank the golfing gods for mowing pattern-less non-HB greens… 😎😎😎 Round 1: -11 Round 2: -10 Same two round total for me (-12, -9) and I was happy with that. And hear hear on the greens! Great layout this. I was surprised at the low scoring on Xbox round one (obviously haven't seen full leaderboard yet) because I thought there was a lot of trouble around the course. If there are high winds and firm fairways / greens over the weekend it could get tricky...

The Tough Guy was a little slow out of the blocks but perhaps this is the way to go. You'll have to forgive my indulgence but I'm sticking up my 2nd Round card. The Pro boys do this all the time but, for once, I actually looked like I knew what I was doing. For one who struggles week in, week out, this was a sweet feeling including a Jessica on the 3rd. -15 at the cut. If it makes it, great, if not I've just played one of my most enjoyable rounds on 2K21. Loved the course (again). Two swims in Round 1 showed there was plenty of trouble for a duffer like me to get into so a good challenge AFAIC. Onward as the Mayor of Triple C would say. And I'm damn sure I'm not making the cut on CC this week so everything down to TST!

61 to open this week. Those greens were a fair bit easier to read which made putting more enjoyable. Didn't drop them all but most of them I picked the break direction, just some not quite on the right line.

Rinse and repeat for the second round, although I finished with an eagle on the last this time. -18 at the halfway point should see the weekend again.

Was going along nicely -5 for the round after about 12 holes in round 3 then decided I'd rather go for a swim than play some golf. Then the wheels totally came off for the rest and I could barely stay out of the water haha
I swear when I really like a course I play a bit worse! Good luck for everyone finishing their rounds. Looking forward to seeing the course on TV as well.

Decided to finish off anyway, Found the water very hard to see on the overhead. At least that's my excuse for slipping into the speedo's 3 (Three) times in a ropey Round 3. By Round 4 my confidence was shot to bits and I was glad to reach the solace of the Clubhouse, Really enjoyed the course, would have enjoyed it more if I could have seen the water before I landed in it! Weekend wasted so no matter whether I make the cut or not!
Onward to Bay Hill. Was a great favourite of mine in the Links LS days. Hopefully I'll spend less time swimming and more time playing pixel golf!

Well, the old live turn based HB gremlins were out in full effect this week for both Nath and Myself, on numerous occasions where I saw Nath's shots finish, to where he actually played his next shot from where definitely not the same, at all and visa versa. On 1 occasion Nath's ball stopped 8ft from pin, and came to my shot, when his next shot loaded he was 40ft away off the green, where his ball on his screen finished. On another occasion Nath was cheering as he hold out for birdie after finding water, though on my screen his ball trickled past hole about 4ft away, but the it magically disappeared, pfft Rd3 for Nath was horrific tempo wise, no matter what he did, then it was my turn in rd4 and he just had to fart on his controller and could do no wrong. Played this way with Nath from game 1, week 1 and all these little things are still present within the game unfortunately. Gav and Luke can back this up as they used to play this way also, but got sick of all the shenanigans, but it is what it is. Played ok, -8,-7,-6, then +2 for rd 4, not unexpected to be honest. Enjoyed the course, only design gripe was that the water was not showing up in the overhead view, could clearly see it off the tee, but overhead, er nope. Good Luck all, play well

Good Luck all, play well This was a constant PITA and spoiled, for me, a very enjoyable course. Wouldn't have mattered in CC but in TST it's a bit handy to see where the H2O is on the overhead!

Started this week off with an offering of -9, -8 for -17 at the cut. Round 1 was just solid play with one approach landing 2 feet away. Round 2 was a little more action packed, with a near 43 footer up 2 feet being sunk and nearly sent me off the edge of my seat actually yelling out in my language "are you f****** serious?!", and tons of extra heart beats on 17 where I needed to hit perfect and basically no other way. And yeah, can confirm that I didn't see water on the overhead at first, but the first time that came up to play in round 2 I noticed the "rough" patch where the water was supposed to be had a bit of a more blue-ish tint to it so I could just barely tell where the water was. Not a designer, but I assume the water plane is just so shallow that the overhead doesn't pick up on it too well. Enjoyable little course so far, putting reads are there for me but I naturally miss more by inches than make them. Oh well, feels good to be competitive and let's see what I'm fighting for at the weekend. Could try putting up a finish near top 25 if I'm lucky, I'll be seeing what to aim for later. Cheers and good luck!
