Wasn't looking forward to this week. Took one practice round with the conditions listed for round 1 just to remind myself how the greens are like, and... well, yeah. Round 1 was -5. No bogeys, front nine was actually feeling really good and putter worked out better than I thought. Didn't really pay much attention to breaks when I was on the practice round and instead only looked at where the pins were and what would be the best place to be at. Was I worrying too much? Is this actually tolerable? Round 2 without any practice was more like pain. Just 2 bogeys though and I'd blame tempo more for both, especially the one on the last hole. Maybe the one on the 4th was more down to cruel pin placement, when you're saving par from 21 feet and 1 foot uphill after a very tough bounce... yeah that sucks. Did sink a 20 footer double breaker on 16 for birdie though, for probably the one true highlight of the rounds. -7 through 2. Don't think the self sabotage on the 36th is enough to knock me out of the cut but I'll adopt a wait and see approach. Making the cut this week: blessing, or a curse? You decide! Cheers, good luck (especially if you REALLY want to miss the cut but are on the trigger)!

-2 third round. I had to finish the last 7 holes after work which was probably a bad idea since I couldn't find any consistency in tempo.

Again looking likely to just miss out 🙁

Thought I'd knock out Rounds 3 and 4 anyway. Wish I hadn't bothered!!! (Edit...I should admit some of it was my fault rather than the courses as I got a bit frustrated with the greens and didn't spend enough time on my putting. I'm a twat.)

64 final round to finish at -19 for the week. T15 on the in game leaderboard currently, not bad considering I couldn't work out the greens for the most part.

Made the cut after all. 🤣 Regretting not taking a bit more time over Rounds 3 and 4 but at least my cut percentage has improved. Every cloud!

Alright. I'm willing to put my hand up and admit: I actually kind of enjoyed rounds 3 and 4. Helps that I could actually hit the ball semi decent and the reads were there. Even though I can say unironically, and I seriously mean this with no exaggeration: I couldn't even make a 5 foot putt in round 3 even if I tried. A 4.9 footer, yes. But nothing over 5. Was happily going along on a sneaky good round, on PC at least, before a double bogey on 18 turned my possibly -6 into a -4. Sad face. Finished 5 under in the finale this week. Lots of excellent saves and a bunker shot on 17 for probably the second highlight all week. Didn't do anything super spectacular at any point, but managed to play sneakily well and actually left feeling pretty good about my effort even though I was so close to being lots better. Bogey free round sandwich with just 3 strokes dropped and no 3 putts on greens like some of these, my putting in general was feeling really solid somehow. And yes, that was in fact with a round with only a 4.9 footer as the longest made putt. -16 is the end result, didn't find the first 2 particularly enjoyable at the time but these weekend rounds felt a lot nicer. Cheers, good luck next week! EDIT: in contention of being this week's Par King with a whopping 49. Any matchers or one uppers?

42 pars for me. Been watching the real event as well, pretty decent recreation on here I thought.

Only reason I play virtual golf is to play par golf (or slightly better) and make up for my inadequacy out on the real course! Par golf rocks!

Played much steadier on the weekend that wasn't, turning my over par to under. -2 and -6, so I have that going for me.
Onward!

Numbers were down this week. Virtual golfers turned off by the scary (!!) greens?
