This week on the kinetic we head to Noord Strand by mav78. It has been a long time since we have had a course by Mark on the kinetic, easily over two years so it is nice to welcome back a old friend to the tour. Will he be a friend to you guys though, that remains to be seen, some tough greens away and if I am not mistaken, the bunkers here have a evil streak at times and really should be avoided. If you do land in one, you should consider playing backwards. A couple of quirky holes which I am sure will give purists fits but a good challenge here on the kinetic. Good luck all and have fun. |

Pretty sure I missed the cut. But I went on and shot a 56 the 3 rd round and a great 61 in heavy wind the last round for a -40. Stinks I went 65 -62 for a -15 after 2 rounds
Great course. Would love to do it over. Maybe will schedule in my society and try it again

Shot -11 in round 1 for 60. Not an easy going out there on the greens, and layups and patient play a plenty. Really have come a long way as a player when I'm no longer just going for it everywhere and actually think if layups make sense. They did here. Did start off hot with -9 after 11 holes, slowed down after the really short 4 by messing it up and ruining my hot streak.
Nervous times in round 2. Just 3 under through 9 and putting a little bit too much pressure to make a cut. I was sitting at -17 on the 17th which looks to be the in or out marker this week and I'm in desperate need for a score. Had gotten unlucky most of the round and on that tee shot I get the luckiest bounce you could ask for without even asking. With the pin being where it was, I kinda had to be less than 10 feet away to make it because holy moly would that have missed from long and made things interesting on the last hole! Got the score on the last too so all's good!
-19 through 2, didn't think that'd put me within a shot or two of a promo mark at this point. Going to need a good weekend to get there, but making back to back cuts after starting off all over the place is nice! Cheers, good luck!

Didn't Mr Doyley win a tournament last week it the week before? How is he back in K Klass? Winning an event on the pro tours doesn't promote automatically. It does in CC though. |

If only my putting in round 3 would have been better, I might have found myself out of here this week. Solid putting all the way this event and then 29 putts in this round. Ouch, that hurts. -9 even though I couldn't putt is actually really good, all about the inches of missed putts and chipping that will inevitably happen at times. Still had somewhat of a chance on the last round but would have needed close to the round of my life. 9th hole bogey was the last nail into the coffin. After that, I guess I got subconsciously motivated to show the course who's boss and proceeded to not miss a putt again and score -7 at the back for another -11 for 60 like in round 1. 19 putts in the final round, if only I had this in both rounds. Finished -39 for a solid mid-table finish. Oh well. Was behind promo marks about 2 shots and will probably be 2 or 3 back. So, kept pace in the end. If I can continue playing like this every week, I'll have a shot any week. And there's an extra chance next week, sooooo... there's that? At least I'm starting to feel competitive after taking a couple weeks to get acquainted. Cheers, good luck in next week's event(s if you want to take part in the other one too)!  |
