65 second round as well. Probably wait an see if -12 makes the cut before I play the other two rounds. Some of these greens remain a mystery!

Think I may have just made a cut. Solid play, one humph on 12 in a -10 opener, clean -7 in the second. I Can't play much better than that.
And IMO this is one of the better RCRs put out by HB.
Onward!

Joining Mr. Vandelay above in the -17 club at the cut. Started off slow. -2 through 9, putts won't drop. Proceed to get a stretch of 11-17 where I get 6 birdies out of those 7, with 3 eagle opportunities that all didn't go. Then again, that's so typical of me since I might get 1 a week if I'm lucky. So -8 through 1st round. Took the momentum and ran with it in a complete switch of round 1. Birdies everywhere to start, and a bogey. I hit a bunker with 9 yards to go. Chipping was no option, I don't trust my partial pitching from there (and honestly, I don't trust it at all) so only option is to try a weak splash which almost put me right back in anyway. Putt from insane angle that was left for me didn't go. Slowed down immensely in the back half, scraped 3 under there for a -9 round. Had a putt exactly at 75 feet on the 13th, I know the ruling is longer than 75 but wasn't sure if the exact number would also count so took no chances with it. Official courses haven't been super kind to me in the past, however this week I finally make a cut on one! Had gone 0-5 in previous tries. Take that HB, you can't hold me down forever!

Hey guys, just signed up. Never played this way before so I'm expecting high scores, especially around the greens. I enjoy playing this game for the courses, and I just play by feel. I'm not interested in doing calculations, I just like weighing up the shot and hitting what looks right. So I do like the sounds of this tour. I will not be challenging the top of the leaderboard. See you out there. Chris So yeah, +1 for the tournament and out at the cut as expected. Missed a hell of a lot of putts. And also I'm just generally crap at this game. But I enjoyed it, these settings feel much more immersive. I'll be back next week, and I'll get better.

Can someone please burn those greens, so that I don’t have to use them again next year… please?

Missed the cut this week, but I'm actually not disappointed. At least I don't have to play two more rounds on the magical mystery tour greens

Can someone please burn those greens, so that I don’t have to use them again next year… please? I actually didn't find the greens too bad this week although perhaps I'm now better at reading the break through experience. I remember vividly the week at Taiheiyo earlier in the season. I thought those greens were diabolical!

183 players this week. Only 50% making the cut. I vote for the CC system where the top 60% make the cut. This comment has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I finished in the top 60% Great to see the format being so well supported. Testament to the hard work put in behind the scenes.

Goodbye Scottsdale, was fun while it lasted. Front nine, round 3: tempo clicks, no putts will drop apart from one or two. Three putted on hole 1 after landing it within a few feet, yikes. Wind got taken out of the sails after tempo got lost in the desert wind and took me behind the tree on 11, before a guy came up to me with a shotgun and gave me the sweet dreams treatment. Had to shot shape, first try was just slow (which should have helped since it was going the same way as the shaping but didn't do anything at all but push it straighter, what?) into the water, second was fast (more understandable but think I was still left confused by the first one) into water. First drop was back behind the tree, second was 66 yards away from the green after hitting about the same spot on the ground and water, excuse me what? Made no sense, and being blinded by rage and disappointment, proceeded to three putt again for a big 9 on the card. After that disaster got some scoring in but found a bogey on the stadium par 3, after a cacophony of cheers and jeers since my tee shot was teetering on the edge of fairway or not, which ended up as not fairway. +1 with a 9 on the card, booooo you are terrible. I think some wise guy at the stadium yelled that at me and I can't disagree after a round like that. Last round was just a "get me out of here" moment. Didn't pay much attention to anything I did, after all nothing before made much sense so why try to make any sense of it now? All I know is that my shots are improving and I get closer to the hole on average, but sadly my putting drags me down a notch while I'm at it. Well anyway, -5. I really can't recall much from the round, think I chipped a couple of times. 6.8 feet was my longest putt apparently in 25 tries this round. Kind of goes to show that I can get close to the hole when things are clicking but I still can't drop enough long putts to make it really count. Ah well, worst finish after making the cut this season. Steps forward at some aspects but at the same time, steps back and to the side too. If I could just stop being so vividly inconsistent with my playing and stop getting in my own head during rounds, I might be good and even great at this thing. Off we go and into next week's new attempt at... oh, right. More fun at official courses. 1-6 in made cuts at those next week, or 2-5? Consult your nearest predicting entity, whether it's a predicting octopus, a groundhog or the magical 8-ball, and come back in with a bet! You'll get no money back from winning, since this house always wins! And with my wild swings in performance, you might not want to bet at all! Cheers and good luck!

And well done to Scotty Scheffler for just making the cut and finishing in an honourable 85th place.
