Welcome to Runamok, a hideaway of adventure among the sandy pines. Use the sweeping slopes to your advantage on your drives and approaches. Firm or very firm plays best. The greens will offer you many big breaking putts — always satisfying if you can get one to drop — and call for creativity on chips and pitches. An abundance of angles to choose from provide numerous strategies to take on each hole. On top of it all, the beautiful scenery cements this course as an annual pilgrimage for years to come. HOLE-BY-HOLE COURSE GUIDE: issuu.com/caleambuehl/docs/runamok_course_guidePlay the slopes correctly and birdies abound. Play them poorly and things might, well, run amok.... Whatever the scorecard says, make sure to enjoy a game of bocce or take on the putting course (publish forthcoming) after your round.

I'll be working on a course guide in the coming week, complete with some hand-drawn hole maps (I'm an architect [normal variety, not golf course] irl) and strategy notes. In the meantime, enjoy!

The Aussie pronunciation would be run-a-muck. As in "who let the bloody kids runamuk". That being said, it's a wonderful course and some great ground game comes to the fore. Good looking tree lined plot set amongst a desert backdrop i.imgur.com/qGRYhRB.jpgLovely clubhouse with good use of recycling i.imgur.com/uZ7jFdY.jpg and a shuffleboard out the back i.imgur.com/OozMnxQ.jpgI'd like an official ruling on the cup sizes used out there, I'm sure they are under. I don't know how the first didn't drop. Then a peach using the ground game into 5. My putt on 6 burnt the lip. Another lip on 10. Another burner on 11, 12 and 14. A lovely course with great waste bunkering and the sun streaming through the trees gave it a wonderful late afternoon feel.

I always enjoy your playthroughs - though those burned edges hurt the heart. Good reads unrewarded. American pronunciation is the same despite the spelling, more like “who let my bloody approach run amok (into this gully)” here lol. Thanks!

Beta was nice and the cleaned up version is lovely. Lots of great holes, angles, strategy, and ground game. Nice entry.

Thanks, your feedback on the beta was very helpful, I went on quite a planting spree. a couple of the greens have remained a bit on the unruly side - though I wasn’t diabolical enough to put a pin up on the knob on 8

This is a really solid course. I can see some Pinehurst inspiration here and really stays true to that the whole way through. Sightlines look great and even offers some strategic shot making on the majority of the holes. Probably one of the best I've played from the rookie contest so far. Good luck in the competition and hope you're not in my group lol.

I appreciate your thoughts. hope to steer clear of your group in the comp as well!

Fun course! Love the feel, how it's closed in but still feels open concept at points. Never closterphobic. Some helping slopes here to really utilize. I was -10 and I'm trash haha. Mostly I'm a bad putter and was able to find my spots to give mke short putts. Fun round for sure and good luck in the comp!

Lovely environment and good golf, on some high flight shots could see the barrenness outside of the tree line which looked odd, but the course and ground level were great, good job and best of luck

Lovely environment and good golf, on some high flight shots could see the barrenness outside of the tree line which looked odd, but the course and ground level were great, good job and best of luck thanks for the play! I totally agree about the barrenness. I wish I’d been able to soften the surroundings, but I hit the limit on the object meter (and patience meter). the more I look at the steppe texture underneath everything the more I find it too harsh in general, if I did it again I’d go with a softer theme. good luck to you as well, I love Coadling Cabe.
