Really fun course man. The environment and rockwork were really done well. I will say I’m very happy I don’t have to walk over those bridges in IRL, they scare the hell out of me haha. Good work, gl in the contest.

sandgroper If you want to see the wild first beta it's under "rdc_TD_Beta" Boy there were some wild rides in the first beta and I had a little bit of trouble late in the round... I think the retic may need replacing, it was a little dry in places, lol. |

Great course. Having been to Arches National Park, I feel you captured the scenery perfectly. Great effort

This contest is going to be a fun one! rickmanchester That's awesome to hear! I looked at a ton of pictures when building and planting this so glad to hear it's successful recreating. Sadly I haven't been able to make it yet to the park, I think this summer is the one I need to make it happen!

I think the retic may need replacing, it was a little dry in places, lol. This is hilarious! I love how on the back nine ever tap in needs a replay. Should have taken an unplayable on Hole 15. Also great job making 13 heavily guarded by those autogen grasses! I think my back nine I ended up with with actual grass ended up a bit better. |

lots of good things to say here, starting with your edits on those pictures - really cool. the scale of this place is wild, big and wide to go with the vistas. loved the landscape arch tucked around the corner on 4, and that you see its shadow before you find it. great work on the arches, you really captured it. the canyon was a great feature- and genuinely a little scary. the foggy backdrop for most of the back nine great use of the plot. with how wide it was, I think a few more humps and hollows in the greens and fairways would fit right in, but I also get the smoother approach. very fun course!

cambuehl Thanks for the kind words! Yeah I speant way too long on this publish post but had an idea and they came out cool haha. I do some graphic design as a side hobby so always love to flex those muscles for no reason. You pointed out the two aspects on the course I think I will actually be dinged on. I made a decision with the slower greens for dramatic slopes on them and seems that's not going over well. Also a common critique I am hearing is how the back nine feels like a different place with the possible over use of the canyon making it way more fantasy then the front. These were deliberate choices I made so I am fine with how these are judged. Glad you enjoyed! I have a list of Rookie courses I haven't given a run and your name is on it! coursedesignHQ Thank Owen! Matu was defintely my favorite from you. Great job just getting better each publish. I'll be honest I don't envy your group you ended up in, but good luck! WhatAboutAmeobi As always thank you for highlighting my course and all the work you do. Personally I wish you didn't let a couple green slopes you didn't agree with sour your entire round (you played pretty well the rest of the course) but to each their own. Tried my best to not make another super polarizing course and apparently I made another polarizing course. But I'll just keep making the courses that bring me passion and wherever people fall on that is how it is. pizzastrangler Thanks Pizza-Assualter! I have yours on my list to hit up!
